I have a very active 60 pound "mutt" with high energy. He loves this ball! It probably isn't 100% chew proof, nothing is with a heavy chewer, but my dog is more interested in racing around the yard with it than chewing on it. He loves to fetch it, play "chase" with it, push it around in his kiddy pool, and even throw it to himself. He only plays with it under my supervision (which really should be the case with all dogs and their toys) so I think it is going to last a long time. For my dog it has to be an outdoor toy only and is stored outdoors when the dog comes inside, otherwise I could see him throwing it around the house and possibly breaking things. He really flings it sometimes! And it is quite heavy and more on the solid side, not squishy. If it were to hit a precious knick-knack, or a lamp, those things would smash to the floor! The "handle" makes it super easy for the dog to pick it up. It didn't take long for him to figure out that was the way to carry it. He tried biting it at first, but now he just rolls it with his paw until the handle is in a better position for him to grab it, and off he goes. ... show more

Was very disappointed in this ball. This is somewhere around the 5th Jolly ball I have purchased. Up til now, with the exception of the egg shaped one, which I would not recommend, All the balls have been great. But this particular one lasted 2 days. It developed 2 dents that adid not expand back out. I am going to order a new one but going to stay away from this color. Wishfully thinking that that is the cause and not that they changed the way they manufacture them.🤞 Have since purchased another orange Jolly ball and and very happy with it. My recommendation… stay away from the dark red one! ... show more

I have one big German Shepherd, and one big Labrador and I got to tell you that ball is indestructible, teeth marks, and all they can’t pull it apart. Well worth the money. They run around with the handle in their mouse or the lab likes to just try to hold the whole ball in his mouth had it for over eight months still in perfect condition and to be honest with you, it spends more time outside than in with stands anything don’t hesitate to buy it ... show more

My 55 lb Malinois LOVES the dog park. She loves all the dogs, but doesn't love chasing after frisbees or balls - she wants to chase the dog chasing the frisbees and the balls. The park had this ball for every dog's use, but the handle had been chewed off so I wasn't able to throw it as far anymore. I bought another one for her to play with and she absolutely loves fetching, and looks the most adorable when she carries it back in her mouth. The only downside to this is the material used. It starts off very heavy, but it doesn't last long sitting outside in the desert sun. It quickly becomes brittle and easy to chew through and puncture. I get that I live in an extreme climate, but this is definitely meant to be used as an outdoor toy so I was hoping it would last a little longer. I will still buy another one though when the handle is completely chewed off again, though. ... show more

We rescued Reicher from a shelter and he was a bit insecure the day we brought him home. But then we presented him with his own great new toy. He immediately took to it. I really believe this Jolly Ball helped him forget his fears, have fun and relax. He knows it is his and he loves to carry it around like a giant pacifier. My husband and I are pleased and Reicher loves it. The photos were taken 16 days after we brought him home and gave him the 8" Jolly Ball. Well worth every penny. ... show more

My 1 year old puppy Silver Lab "Angel" is part shark and destroys toys easily. Not a big dog by any means, there are just no toys that can stand up to her. She's incredible. However, as talented as she is at ripping through dog toys, more often than not, it's halfway the toy's fault. For instance, a bunny is begging to have its ears torn off almost immediately. Nothing filled with foamy material has a chance against a normal dog. Various tags and things hanging off are critically vulnerable to animal teeth. A great deal of the market's dog toys are designed to fail. Enter the Jolly Ball. Angel couldn't rend this thing's circular body no matter how hard she tried. But she quickly exposed its fatal Achilles heel - the handle. It took her less than an hour to rip through it. Once again, a dog toy with a readily available "thing" to focus on is the terminal flaw, making an otherwise durable enough product into trash too soon. Once she made quick work of the handle, it only took 29 more days to widen the hole through instense pulling with her teeth. When I found blue plastic in her stool, I tossed it into the trash. Sadly, because of badly made features, this somewhat good dog toy's lifespan got severely limited very fast. A. ... show more
