This is a nice activity for kids. There is definitely a lot of tying knot opportunities. The age of the kids making the bracelets definitely should be considered because there is a lot of knot tying. The charms that come with the kit are really nice and the colors of the threads are great.

    • Good Gift for Beginner Kit
4.1 stars out of 5 (standard rounding rules apply) This kit comes with items for anyone starting out on the friendship bracelet making journey. Particularly a pre-teen, or even older kiddo. There is enough to make about eight bracelets within the kit, which is a good beginning. This is especially true if your attention span isn't that great, and you're not sure you (or the person you're getting it for) will enjoy making them. There are charms as well as the cord, plus some clips and even glue. I was excited to see the glue because most kits don't include that. I do feel that aside from the glue the rest was just the bare minimum of what one would need to get started. Again, not a bad thing for someone who isn't sure they will like it - but if they already do it may be too little for them and they will go through it quickly. One thing I didn't like was the instructions. There was a booklet/paper but it doesn't explain all the designs shown, and honestly the instructions can be a bit rough to follow. That doesn't mean it's bad; but a video tutorial may be more beneficial in helping get started. For a price point this is on the lower end compared to similar kits. It's a fair price for what is included, and more than fair for someone who is just starting out, or a gift for a kiddo in your life. The quality also is slightly higher than what one may expect with this price point. I would recommend it for a beginner or a gift for a kiddo/pre-teen in your life. ... show more

    • It felt incomplete
I think my problem with most foreign made craft kits isn’t the quality of the materials. The materials for this set were quite nice. Instead, it is the quality or complete lack of directions. This kit had what looked like good, well done instructions. For starters there was an actual booklet that had more than 2 pages, and every step was illustrated. Unfortunately it was more nice appearance than well written or thought out. For the first 10-15 steps the instructions were detailed and easy to follow but the entire process had 27 steps and the last 10 were much too vague. Also the instructions were only for one bracelet design. Halfway through, around step 12 ,they mention that if you want to do the second design you should do a different set of different moves. They never mention the third design at all. From step 12 they continue with design 1 and never mention design 2 again. So you end up with a kit that makes one bracelet design and the starts of the other 2. I understand that there are numerous videos on the Internet that have directions for similar if not the same designs but it is not ok for the set itself to be so lacking. ... show more

    • Has everything you would need to make cute bracelets!
This kit was perfect as a gift for my niece! It came with enough material to make several bracelets and all of the charms and accessories that it came with were so cute! The durability of the actual bracelets seem to be pretty solid because I’ve seen my niece wear them swimming and at school and they are still holding on!
