  • Ignore comment about bubble being off
Style: Structo Cast
These were chap and work great as needed. I was hesitant about purchasing them after seeing some comments and even images of the bubbles not being the same. These are not the same type of levels. One is traditional level = bubble between the lines and the other is more for a pitch or degrees of angle so the leading edge of bubble is the measure and not the middle ... show more

  • These are great little levels
Style: Structo Cast
These are great little levels. I hammock camp and I use the black level to make sure my tarp's ridgeline is level and I use the white level to make sure my foot end of my hammock is up higher than the head end. If you put the levels side by side on a level surface, the black one will have the bubble in the center like a normal level. The white one's vial is conical, so one end of it is where the bubble sits on a level surface. The reason for this is the level is meant to measure the slope, and it's easier to read with the lines 1/8th of an inch apart instead of way less. So it is designed to be like that, don't assume it is broken or doesn't work, because it was intentional for it to work like that, and it makes perfect sense as to why it was designed like that. ... show more

  • DONT Ignore comment about bubble being off. Level is NOT accurate.
Style: Structo Cast
The top review says to ignore the comment about the bubble being off. While some people may not know how to use a level or test a level for accuracy, that doesn't mean all people don't know how to use and test a level. Both of the levels that I received are not accurate. The black one was worse than the gray one in terms of accuracy. Perhaps I just got two bad ones. For those of you that like these levels, did you test them for accuracy? For the black one, you can flip the level around 180 degrees to see if it measures exactly the same in both directions. Be sure to place the level in the exact same location when doing this test. My black level does not measure accurately. The gray one can NOT be tested by reversing it 180 degrees. You can test it by placing it on top of a known accurate level (which measures slope/foot) and compare the results. Mine was "close", but still inaccurate by perhaps 1/16" per foot. Maybe that is as close as the manufacture expects it to be. Google for how to test the accuracy of a level for more details. I called the manufacturer and they told me that the warranty isn't valid on amazon purchases. They said to return it to amazon. Be sure to test your levels for accuracy before using them. ... show more

  • Good level for small projects.
Style: Structo Cast
Good for small projects. I used string from trimmer instead of buying something separatly. A must need when doing pavers. Gives you guide to slope properly. Use both on the same side at 2/6 & 4/6 distance of string. It will balance and give u level on a long side. Switch by easily removing without taking the string off by the notches (not holes). ... show more

  • Such a helpful little tool
Style: Structo Cast
Used the standard string level to make sure the garden was at proper height against the house and fixed the pooling issue. The. Used the grade level to even the lawn. Now I have a consistent straight grade without having a perfectly flat lawn that leads to pooling. Perfect for drainage and gives that “level” look. No more bumps. ... show more

  • Good for a back up but falls off the line too easy.
Style: Structo Cast
These are great to have as a fall back. My only reservation on this particular line level is that they do not have a retention notch. They fall off the line no matter what. Again, good to use in a pinch but they are way to easy to knock off the line.

  • Johnson Line Level Set
Style: Structo Cast
This is an excellent set of line levels that are quite accurate. The Multi-Pitch® vial can be used almost anywhere an accurate comparison of the height between two points is needed. It worked great when I adjusted the blade front-to-rear pitch on my riding lawn mower. For my use, I made a small guide as seen in the included picture. ... show more

  • Great value, no major complaints
Style: Structo Cast
Product arrived on time, in great condition, and my initial evaluation showed no product defects. I plan on using this for my concrete patio layout and the grade level will be awesome for this. I shook each level to break up the bubble, and found that it re-formed into a single bubble right away. I do notice the traditional level has a few small fibers in the fluid, which to me look like a very fine hair or perhaps glass fiber. They do not interfere with the movement of the bubble at all and don't interfere with my ability to ready the indicators so I still think it is perfect for the price. ... show more
