My favorite dessert is creme brulee - how can you NOT enjoy preparing a dessert that involves using a blowtorch? - and this set is perfect for it. It gives a big enough and strong enough flame for large ramekins, but also works with smaller cups. It is very easy to load and use.

    • Awesome Cooking Torch
I recently bought a Blackstone Griddle but wanted the burnt taste of a grill. This little cooking torch works great. It was easy to fill with the included butane cans and I love the adjustable flame feature. I cooked steaks last night and burned the fatty sides and top of the steak. OMG, they tasted like grilled steaks at a restaurant. When my steak cooled down while eating, I blasted it with this torch to heat it back up. My wife thought that was dangerous, but I thought it was useful. I love this little torch. I'll update this review when I use it for future cooking. I'm gonna try pork chops next. ... show more

    • Great torch for crème brûlée
Works great. Flame is strong and it’s easy to use. Filling it could be better. It warns you in all caps NOT to overfill, but that is VERY easy to do. Just be mindful while filling with the butane.

It was easy to assemble/fill with butane and light. I have never used one before. I have creme brulee in the oven now and can’t wait to try out my new torch.

    • Get the air out prior to trying to fill the butane
Excellent customer service. It was very difficult to fill the torch with most of the butane wasted. Informed customer service and they sent me a replacement with instructions on getting air out prior to attempting to fill the butane. Did so, and not only did the torch fill easily with much less fuel going to waste, it also worked very well. Good buy, GREAT customer service! If you ever buy a butane torch - buy it from THIS company! At least they help you with trouble shooting and work with you until your issues have been resolved. These guys are the leaders in customer service! ... show more

    • Doesn't last long
This is hard to fill, much of the butane gets wasted. Lasted a few short days, two cans of butane. Will not be using this product again, will find something else. Edit: I changed my stars to 5 from 2. The seller saw my review and contacted me to offer a replacement or refund. I chose a refund which I got the same day and was not required to return the torch. Then I bought another torch and with the instructions on that one, it said to take a pen and expel the air in the torch before filling. So I did and that worked just fine, so I tried it on this Jo Chef torch and I heard the air expel from the container, and then it worked. I could fill it and use it just fine and I LOVE it! I contacted the seller to ask them to reverse my refund but they wouldn't do it and said customer service is very important to them. I feel somewhat bad for this but they insisted I keep the product, which I am now using. So now I have two torches and I use them both and I'm a happy camper and wanted everyone to know how awesome this company is in customer service and being just plain old nice people. ... show more

The torch works great. The only reason I gave 4 stars is that it is difficult to fill. It seems to leak a lot while filling. The instructions could definitely be better. Otherwise I love it.
