At a cost per bulb that is dramatically lower than anything else comparable, these are a steal. Have not mounted them yet but out of the box, they are a very warm white, brightness is not dazzling but more than adequate. Construction seems adequate given price point. Also: see the answer to question about how to have lights stay on the previous setting (flashing, steady, etc) when they are next turned on--an important feature so that you don't have to constantly repush the button on each transformer. As Craig Wiggenhorn astutely noted, if your transformer as both a circled T (timer function) AND a circled M (memory), they will turn on with whatever setting was last set. Fortunately, all 8 strands I ordered were "M + T" transformers. I think it may be luck of the draw, but at least as of Oct 2022, that's what they are shipping. ... show more

I got these for the trick or treaters! Cute and festive and bright enough to light up the steps without needing the regular porch light. I didn't get a remote in the box, but I really didn't need one, they're plugged in right outside my door.
