I like the smaller size and holes for fish. I added more aqueon substrate inside and shrimp feels safe but other fish still swim in and out.

I had this ceramic decoration on my wait list for a few years now and am so glad I finally picked it up! The color is beautiful! Nothing garish or boring, the blue is a light almost sage like shade of blue that blends in with my natural tank. A big plus is the glazing on the entire decoration! No chance of snagging fins, tails or my fingers! The smoothness helps the beneficial bacteria cling to the outside and my betta loves it! He is always exploring or simply resting within it. The only thing I could see as a suggested improvement would be for it to be larger. I would love a larger one for my sorority tank but a few of these in that tank will be just fine in my book! This is smooth porcelain and perfectly safe for a betta fish - However it shows no color under the light, looks somewhat like bland oatmeal.. I bought it for a friend and she likes likes it, so depends on if color matters too you.. I would include a picture but didn't think to take one..

Exactly as pictured. I didn’t have to sand down any edges. Looks super cute in my 10G tank and the fish love to swim through it. The holes are plenty big enough for nanofish such as bettas and guppies.
