The media could not be loaded. This flood light is the perfect complement to an existing setup of individually addressable LEDs. For example, you might want to make this a "wall washer" for background mood-setting while having the individually addressable LEDs doing more dynamic visualizations. Despite its size, this light counts as a single pixel, and you can hang it off an existing 12v strip, assuming you have a sufficiently large power supply for both. Note that this is a wide-angle light, meaning it doesn't have a specific focusing lens to narrow the light into a beam that's some number of degrees wide (e.g. 15%, 45%, etc). It's best for general illumination. It is most definitely not a spotlight! I generally use WLED + ESP8266 or ESP32 to drive my LEDS, and the color ordering for this display is RGB. It makes a lot of sense to define this device as a separate logical segment within WLED, assuming that you're not dedicating a single ESP* to drive this light. The light is definitely bright, and when displaying any one of R, G or B at full brightness it''ll pull between 4 and 4.5 watts of 12v power (~0.35 amps). As you'd expect, when set to white full brightness it pulls quite a bit more power, about 10.8 W (0.902 Amps). I've seen lights like these from the usual direct-order-from-china sites, and was glad that they're finally starting to crop up here on Amazon. If you've read this far in the review, you for sure *want* one of these. I say, you *need* one! Jump in, the water's fine. Very happy with this purchase. They are ok the y work but it’s only 9 chips so most cheap controllers make everything a strobe light no slow fade . Don’t use controller that you can’t adjust how many nodes once you get the right controller with the right app they work great

I've had 4 of these for about 6 months now. They work great with a ws2811 controller like WLED and I really want to give them 5 stars. I'd give them five stars, but somehow I'm getting condensation in a few of the fixtures. Which causes some separation of the light colors (rainbow effect) and my wife complains about it constantly. Finally if you need to reach out for warranty support Amazon makes it extremely confusing to send a message to the seller. They have a Whatsapp number I found in a question above, which they probably have on their seller page if that's possible. Once I figured out the Amazon maze to contact the seller they have been very responsive. ... show more

I have been looking all over for a good outside light that didn't come with some cheap, crappy remote or something I was going to have to mod heavily. Putting pigtails on them that are chainable is brilliant too. I already had a custom rgb controller I made for ws2811 lights for my roof and accent lighting and this floodlight integrated with Home Assistant and WLED perfectly. The quality feels excellent, the connectors seem to be waterproof or at least water resistant and wow! The light is super bright. I have it shining up 3- 45' arborvities and it lights them up all the way to the top. I love this light! Another great thing about them is it has a white channel, if you've ever used an RGB light, you found out the "white" has a blue tint to it. This does not. If you know what Home Assistant, wled, or fastled are then this is the flood light you've been looking for. Highly recommend this. Update.. So after a year of use now, I too am seeing some condensation collecting inside the light on the glass. Now, I am not getting any rainbowing of the colors and so far it has had no negative effects, no flickering or shorting out but, it is a little frustrating. Due to the fact that I still havn't seen any alternatives that just work without taking the thing apart, breaking the waterproof seal and modifying it or jumping though a bunch of hoops to get an API to work with HA and if you've used HA for any period of time, you already know that companies put out an API or allows cross platform use with HA UNTILL they don't anymore! It's a massive nightmare when you invest in a brand of products and then they do a flip-flop and they no longer want to play nice with HA but, instead they want you to only use their app. Even though i'm getting a little condensation, I still recommend it and am personally buying more. If you do your due diligence, this is actually a common complaint for other brands of lights like this too and isn't a unique problem with this light. I'm just going to be more careful about how/where I install them and try to protect them from getting direct exposure to rain and the like and maybe even run a small bead of clear silicone around the edges for extra protection. ... show more
