This set of pliers comes with a great variety, including some pliers which are difficult to buy individually (the looping pliers in particular). The pliers are well-machined and the points align. The pliers have smooth plastic coated handles. As might be expected from so many pliers in a single set, the pliers are on the small side. Rather than sacrificing the size of the working end of the pliers, the handles tend to be shortened instead. People with large hands may find it uncomfortable to operate these pliers. As a woman of average sized hands, I find the pliers serviceable but not the most comfortable. However, all this can be overlooked. You're getting a great variety of specialty pliers-- not just the standard "beginner's set". The pliers come pre-oiled and those with cutting edges are quite sharp. I bought this assortment mainly for the bail making pliers and nylon pliers. The round nose pliers, bent nose pliers, and end nippers will no doubt see a lot of utilitarian use as well. The crimping pliers don't look like they would be very effective compared with other dedicated crimping pliers due to the size of the indentations, but this may depend a lot on the size of your crimp. The only downsides of this set are the somewhat smaller size and un-texturized handles. The variety of pliers is fantastic. A lot of specialty pliers are included here, and this is the next step up from a beginner's assortment. You get a lot of pliers without breaking the bank. I have nothing bad to say about the quality of the pliers. They've help up well. This pack is a great buy for someone looking to move beyond just the basics or someone who wants an extra set of more exotic pliers for when they don't want to use their expensive pair. Just the price of the loop making pliers will cost you approx. 1/2 of the cost of this whole set. That is what I needed along with two pliers with no teeth. The others to me are just a bonus for what I am doing. I use the loop pliers to make earring hooks and links. The flat/no-teeth pliers leave minimal marks on my silver which can be buffed out. Great little set and better than the cheaper set of pliers that I had before this set. I compared different pliers sets and pricing and this set was the best deal that I could find for the ones that I needed. ... show more

    • Good for beginners but don't last long
This set is good for very beginning basic jewelry making. I bought this set back around February or March 2022. I've had to replace several pieces. Today I replaced the round nose pliers because the piece that makes them spring back will not stay where it's supposed to and I can't take it hurting my hand anymore. The wire straightening pliers are not nylon. They are plastic. The flush cutters are not very strong. You get what you pay for with this set. These are not quality tools. You will need to upgrade but if you are looking for a cheap way to start out, these do work. I'm not mad I bought them. Just aggravated my hand hurts. ... show more

    • Good tools for price. Great for budget or learning.
While the overall quality is not the best. They are great for the cost. The joints do not feel like they can take continued use and feel loose. Difficult to apply firm preassure with out having to completely clamp down and scar or crush the material. Good tools for learn or budget but do not use for quality materials outside of steel or alum wires. Caution with soft metals as the difficulty in preassure control leads to tiny depressions in the surface which would not be ideal for a product you intend to sale. ... show more
