The media could not be loaded. My daughter squeeled in delight as she had no idea what I had ordered. Super cute and food safe tea set. Unfortunately it is handwash only, but with such small pieces the dishwasher would probably destroy it. The porcelain, though dainty, seems thick and sturdy enough that with care it should last a very long time. The carrying case is thick cardboard but lovely and the pieces, for now, fit snug in the cardboard dividers. I'm excited to do cocoa and stories with my little nieces and this set. ... show more

I gave each of my nieces a toy tea set when they were born and then a real tea set when they married. Now they beg me to do the same for their daughters. So as you can imagine, I’ve now bought plenty of tea sets. There are far fewer choices on the market than there were 30+ years ago when my little tradition began. This one has thick enough china to withstand a little excitement whilst still appearing dainty. There are no awkward seams or crooked patterns.
