I have purchased the fire tablet several other time not because of issues I had with it but because I have purchased as gifts for family members. Every device still works with the exception of one because my granddaughter put recorded several videos and didn't want to delete any so she used up all the memory. As for the case they don't hold up as well I have had to replace mine a couple times because the clips that hold it in place break. The only thing I use the tablet for is reading so it shouldn't happen. I do like that the case allows me to put the device to sleep or wake it up simply by opening or closing the case. It’s a nice little product. Sleeps/wakes the Fire 7 Tablet with no problem, magnetically locks to the front, and magnets into a triangle sideways stand like the iPad Air cases from back in the day. But the only problem is, the flap is loose on the back, and it makes it harder to hold. If it was magnetically locked to the back, I would give this a fuller rating. Excellent product. I’m very impressed how easy it was to install my Kindle. Wasn’t expecting it to fit as well as m y original case for my Amazon Fire 7 but it’s even better ! Love the way it folds when I’m reading in bed at night or on an airplane. Nice selection of colors to choose from also.

I don't always like the automatic turn on or shut off the screen when you open the cover. Sometimes I want to close the cover, write down a note and then open it back up, but with the auto off/on feature, I have to again swipe up and enter my PIN again before I can resume reading. The cover is thin, but has enough stiffness to hold the Kindle Fire at a reading angle for hands free reading when you have a table or desktop to use. ... show more

This case is for the Amazon 7 (7th generation 2017) so make sure that it’s the right model before purchasing. The case does its job of protection, so if the tablet falls it shouldn’t break before the case does. I got it in red and the color is just as vibrant as the pictures show. The top flap features sleep awake mode so when you close the case the tablet falls asleep, open it up and the tablet wakes up. The top flap also folds in three to make a stand, however will only old the tablet up in landscape (horizontal) mode. The case is durable but depending on use and impact it should withstand wear and tear for approximately three years. ... show more
