I wasn't sure what to expect but I researched and read many reviews of several listed by a variety of sellers. I feel this one had the best chance of any to accomplish my need. In under 10 minutes I have a 5 gallon bucket with hot water. I heat 3- 5gal and with a lid placed securely they stay warm for a generous amount of time. I received the same day, about 4hrs after placing the order. Works great. The black piece at the end comes off every time it's removed from water, it's ok though bc it affects nothing. I simply make sure it's on when I use again. It's a comfortable buffer between the plastic bucket and the heat source. Unsure if it will get hot enough to melt the bucket if it were missing, but I don't care to find that out. The thermometer that is included is a bit on the cheap side, however it is digital and ready to read. The battery must've not been great as mine no longer read the temp the 3rd go. The display was looking as if it were going to run out of battery so I'm sure it's not broken and just need a replacement. Haven't taken the time to open and replace, unsure if that is even an option. Also, my red indicator light on the unit, also stopped working, however I dropped the unit and so I'm going to say that's on me. Otherwise, works perfectly. I was surprised that it seems to draw more power than anticipated. I know nothing of electricity, however when I'm running my generator while camping, I notice the change in sound as if I've plugged in the portable ac unit we have.. or a regular size vacuum cleaner. This isn't an issue, I am sure to be mindful of what's pulling power so that I do not damage anything. Also, I find that if there is another object pulling the same amount of power then that object and this heating rod work 50% of its typical output. I think that's the case.. I just know it takes longer and my portable unit is blowing slower than it does typically. Suggestion: 1- use a power strip with an off/on switch. This is helpful for a few reasons. 2- if I am not distracted and am able to, giving the water being heated a stirring, seems to helps expedite the process. Don't forget that this is water and electricity and although it's safe when functioning correctly.. (ideally), should there be an issue you're unaware of, you could cause great harm by placing your hand in the water while the rod is in heat mode. This is when the off switch is great since the unit is on off its plugged in, no off function/ switch off otherwise. Plug and play. I intend to purchase a back up to keep in the camper as in so pleased with the results. Hope this review assisted in your decision. Works for me! ... show more

We use this in conjunction with a regulator to maintain our ice bath at 50 degrees throughout the winter. Works perfect. We are able to ice bath through the year now

    • Almost perfect~
Recently my hot water heater broke & I was faced with the prospect of taking cold showers in the middle of a Nevada winter. I can't do anything about the showers, but this product allowed me to take daily hot baths. It takes about 2 hours for this product to heat up a bathtub to acceptable levels, so you have to plan ahead. If you put it in a bathtub and run it overnight, it will be WAY to hot for you to handle~ but cooling down is as easy as waiting 30 minutes or so. The problem is that this unit will only last about a month max & then will stop working. If you have it on & not submerged in water, it will burn itself to death in under 2 minutes~ so be careful when using it. NEVER be in a bathtub with this thing running in the same tub. Unplug it from the wall, let it cool down in the water for at least 5 minutes~ then take your bath. If you need one, order two because again, they don't last long. ... show more

Never worked, and tired of fighting with amazon about refunds. They used to just refund you. Now they make you jump thru hoops. Promised refund dates are pushed back again and again. Then got people from another country tryna tell you about yourself. Getting sick of amazon personally

For medical reasons, I have to do hot and cold water contrasts for my foot, but it was difficult to get the right temperature after icing. This product has been helpful because it includes a thermostat, so I can know when the water reaches the 120° I need. It’s made the process a easier and less time-consuming. ... show more

I have to say, I'm very impressed with this gadget! I didn't think it would work, but 12hrs later, my lil ghetto fabulous pool was up to 97°. 300gal pool. The plug never got hot. I did unplug it and let it sit for a min or so since it says not to use continuously for more than 3hrs.... but honestly, that wasn't a problem at all. I am VERY happy with this product. I am currently purchasing this FOR THE 3RD TIME but I thought I would give my review before going to my cart. This works well to bring my inflatable hot tub up to 104* when its freezing outside but they just dont last. My last purchase for this item was Sep 13th 2024 and I have probably used it 12-15 times from then until now. It stopped working yesterday. Same thing with the very first purchase. At $22 bucks I'm gonna try again. Maybe wash it after every use with clean tap water? We'll see. ... show more
