I used it for a glass door on a redemption game (Arcade). It was a great value, I even had enough money left to get a "Large" Mc Rib combo at McDonald's. Also it took about 5 minutes to install, which is faster then warning up a cup of Noodles.

I attempted to use this lock as a replacement for a harbor freight tool cart. It would have worked had it been a little better quality. The threads stripped immediately and prevented me from tightening the locking pawl. Along with that the design is meant to leave the key in when unlocked which is a minor inconvenience with a tool cart so something to note ... show more

I ordered this because it seemed like the right size and function (key retaining). I was disappointed to find that this is not a 7 pin lock like the original Chicago Ace, but rather, a 4 pin lock which greatly compromises the security. Although I could rekey it to my key which was my original intent, I won't be because I don't want to compromise my security. I will keep it in my junk drawer as a lesson learned.
