First off let me say that I've been a biker for my whole life. I didn't by a cheaper ebike to compare to my 4k carbon bike. I wanted something to have fun and enjoy nature when I didn't feel like punishing myself on a 20 mile ride. Excellent design and options considering this is a 1K Jasion X-Hunter. In my world, I would replace many cheap parts, and nobody offered exactly what I wanted. So, I bought this X-Hunter and made the changes. It's fast, it's powerful, the battery is strong, and it's a fantastic start to an obscure race to the top with ebikes. I've put this bike through it's paces, both gnarly hills and rough terrain, and it performed admirably. These bikes aren't made to go up hills like a mountain bike, I would say they are more for rolling terrain and urban outings, but again I have gone places I would normally only go with my mountain bike and I'm impressed...BUT....keep reading. I would give this bike 3 stars for many reasons...mostly that the parts are cheap, but given the price and customer response time I give it a 5. What I upgraded. 1. Newer 5 speed shifter (trigger shifter) not the junk that the bike comes with. 2. Newer 5 speed freewheel (that is the rear cassette/gears) 3. Newer derailleur, (the one that comes with the bike is embarrassingly GARBAGE, please Jasion, replace the Shifter and derailleur. For $20 dollars more you can have a tried and true brand component that works! 4. Zoom Ebike hydraulic 2 piston brakes, this should be standard, but a MUST upgrade. I will take a picture of my upgraded version soon. I will be upgrading the cranks and the front form eventually. Warning and Notes, the pedals should be replaced ASAP, and please please go through each bike component and tighten them ALL! Wear a helmet, and don't mess with the computer. This bike is set up perfectly, if you insist on going 30 miles an hour on a 1K ebike then it's your call. I would like to add that I also gave Jasion 5 stars because I feel that a good company will better their bikes over time and I hope they do, this is a solid ebike and I'll be buying another one for my wife. ... show more

My wife took it for a spin and would not give it back. Had to purchase another one. Thus far the bike has met and or exceeded my expectations. Doesn’t fold as easily and certainly not going to port it as gracefully as the description and advertising leads you to believe. It is 70+ lbs and wide when folded. However the bike is rugged enough for multiple surfaces and will handle wet pavement nicely. Battery continues to last as advertised and I have roughly 100 miles on the odometer. Been riding ebikes since 2017. I own several. At this price point, the X-Hunter is an amazing value. Assembly was simple and little to no adjustment was required. I bought this bike specifically to ride on steep, rough and rocky dirt roads and it delivers. The dual suspension is a blessing on the rough dirt roads where I ride. The motor has sufficient power to carry you up steep hills on rough roads. The rear rack is solid and stable. The fat 4" tires combined with the dual suspension really smooth out the bumps. Paint quality is very good. I did have a minor problen with a setting on the display and Jasion customer service was quick to respond and very helpful with resolving the issue. UPDATE 7/23/24 - 8 months in, I have 64 miles on it. The hinge has finally loosened up. The speed cannot go 30mph even though I followed updated recommendations in settings. Max is 25. It still surges or lurks in PAS 1 and you go 1mp straight to 8 mph. No in between peddaling available. NOW, anytime I hit a bumpy or offroad area, the display goes blank and the motor stops. I have to switch key off and on to get it going again. This is a major irritant and unsafe. I now have to contact Jasion again to try and figure out what is shorting. Happens at any speed, so not an overheat issue. I would return it if I could, but now I'm stuck with it till resolved. Not happy. The only negatives are: 1) It's bulkier and heavier than anticipated. Heavy duty is a requirement, so we move on. Very solid construction! (2) The folding hinge is very sticky and creeky, making it very difficult to fold/unfold. After 3in1 oil, it eased up only a little. Only time and use can help as there is no adjustment. (3) The handle bar folding lock needed adjustment to lock properly. (4) Even at PAS1 (low torque motor level), there is no easy transition between no power and power. It lunges a little and VERY noticeable in the PAS 2-5 levels. If there is an adjustment for that, I will need to find. However, fast is not my thing so levels 1 and 2 work fine for me as it is. Like anything getting used to it. 5) no documentation on the admin "settings mode" can be found Positives: Everything else incl FedX shipping. Note ** As I'm over 200lbs, was able to get 21 mph in PAS 5 and 7th gear on flat ground, so not sure where the 28-30 is? ... show more
