  • It works
Size: Lawn Core Aerator
The media could not be loaded. I went through so many reviews before deciding to get this one and I'm glad I did. I was worried about clogging and I didn't have a problem. I had one rock get stuck, but otherwise the soil just pops out because of the design. I found it was difficult and extra time consuming when the soil was dry or barely wet. I have about .2 acres and I did most of it after it rained when the soil was wet. It went in and out easily, and I could get into a rhythm. I do suggest wearing pants, because the screws on the handle/pole would hit my leg and left a bruise. It irritated my leg less with capris or pants on. And if I dug into the ground at a slight angle it was faster and I seemed to hit let rocks. Otherwise it is very sturdy and worked to aerate my lawn. It took me a few days and hours (some sections I did the holes very close and those took longer). ... show more

  • Works ok but cores get stuck even when ground is moist
Size: Lawn Core Aerator
works ok but cores get stuck even when ground is moist. It also becomes loose after each use and i have to tighten. Could use lock nuts instead of what they have.

  • Good tool for the price
After some debate, I decided to order this Jardineer Lawn Core Aerator. Assembling it was straightforward and I put it to use right away. It's not quite as sturdy as some of the much more expensive ones that exist out there, but for the price you can't beat it. In some spots the "no clog" feature didn't work and I had to push out the plug with a screwdriver. Overall, I think it'll be a great help to my lawn (but definitely not my back). ... show more

  • Doesn't Plug Up Like Others
This manual aerator is actually the second one I own. The first one I purchased had a different design as the open plugs come out the top. I only used it one season because it became more and more frustrating to use as the plugs would get plugged inside. This new, Jardineer Lawn Core Aerator, has a different design as the plugs come out the side. It was very easy to assemble as they give you the bolts and wrenches to use. Extra bolts are included just in case. The aerator is very sturdy and built well. The handles have cushioning foam to them to make it more comfortable to hold and use. As per the instructions and general knowledge, make sure to use this after a rain or a good soaking of your lawn. After we had a good rain, I tested this out on my 1/4 of an acre lawn. That is no easy task but the flip side is hiring someone for hundreds of dollars. The aerator went into the ground with some forceful pushing with your foot. I was happy to see the plugs expel from the side port so I could keep going and not spend half the time trying to clear it out. Make sure you leave the expelled plugs on the lawn to decompose. It's official. I am keeping this aerator and either selling or trashing the other one. ... show more

  • A fine aerator
As I researched aerators, I learned that those that removed cores were better than spiked ones. Like many products today just takes some assembly but it’s only a few screws and easy to do. Once assembled, I found it to be very solid and sturdy. I’ve never used an aerator before, so I don’t have anything to compare it with, but I found it, slipped into my lawn easily and ejected the plugs as expected. I did follow instructions online and made sure my lawn was well watered beforehand. I use it on a small area lawn about 12 x 20‘. it does take some time and effort so I can see how using this on a large lawn would be more strenuous and take a longer amount of time which is why often times it’s recommended to rent a larger one that can be rolled over the lawn; but those have spikes and this core style does a better job at opening up the lawn. Now I will have to wait for a while to see the effects on my lawn, but at this point I’m happily optimistic. ... show more

  • Good quality
Very easy to use and perfect of you have a small or medium size yard I was most surprised by how easily it cut into the soil and cleared itself of the plugs
