Decent drill package, but there is a lot of competition in this price range. I wanted something for my wife's craft room so she'd quit borrowing mine... what better than pink to know that it's hers. The drill feels solid and well built. It is reasonably compact compared to my Ryobi. The case is pretty nice and has in-molded places for all the included bits and accessories. The big downer for me is the battery... I thought and hoping that it was the same as another battery system that I currently own... It's not and it seems like it own unique battery... And there is only one included. Once it dies, the drill is toast since I do not know where to get another one. The battery does not have a charge level indicator and uses a plug in power supply to charge it. It will work for what she needs, but it is pretty poor to today's standards. 3 Stars from me. ... show more

My old drill was ugly and wasn’t cordless. I will keep it on hand as a spare, but I really look forward to using my new cordless pink one. This Jar-Owl set is perfect, and a definite upgrade. With all the bits in a handy case, variable speed and 350 in-lb torque, this drill should easily handle any drill job I have to do. Although I have a cordless screwdriver that is great for small jobs, I find that it is much easier to get accurate placement for handles on diy furniture makeovers if I pre-drill before screwing on the handles. That could be due to less strength & dexterity in my hands from arthritis. The flexible adapter is very handy too for accessing hard to reach places. A keyless chuck makes it quicker to change out bits. All these features and it is a pretty shade of husband repellent pink so he doesn’t bother my tools! ... show more

    • A Comfortable Drill for Smaller Hands
My large and cumbersome old cordless Craftsman drill recently stopped charging so I was looking for a replacement that might be more comfortable for my short fingers. The battery is a bit heavier than I expected, but overall this really suits my needs. Has all the features of my old drill, including a variable clutch. I was really impressed with the amount of accessories. I'd never used flexible extender before, but this was super helpful when installing some decorative brackets on the side of my house where the drill would've blocked my access. It has a bit of a learning curve (it coils itself up tight when tightening), but figured it out relatively quickly. The battery maintains for a long while. It is leight weight enough for ne to use but has great power. I love all the accessories it came with too!
