  • Fun 2 player game
My family enjoys playing this game. It's easy enough to pick it up and go, but provides a nice level of strategy. Rounds are not too short. We find it fun to sort and count the tokens. The box, cards, and tokens are of nice quality and the art is very nice as well.

  • Easy, fast, tactical, replayable, interactive and not multiplayer solitaire, exciting and fun race!
I always see this game recommended and have skipped it since because it is just for 2 players. After just reading the rules, I already know it will be a hit with my girlfriend, and fortunately it was! She really liked it even during our 1st play. Now that I tried it, well, it's still sad that it is just for 2 players, but this game is fun! Pros - Easy to learn and teach. - Fast to setup and play (less than 30 minutes). - Doesn't require a huge table. - Replayable because of the competition among players. - Not multiplayer solitaire. The competition among players makes everyone adapt constantly to make the most out of the current state of the board and always be one step ahead of the opponents. You should always keep an eye to your plans and your opponent's plans. - The game design is brilliantly simple! The rules here are so simple yet very strategic and tactical (though more on tactical). - There is something in this game that makes it very fun and exciting to play. Yes it's simple, yes it's a theme that is overly done already, but there is something in its design that makes it very fun and exciting. - This is a race. The race creates tension, in an exciting way. Everytime a new card is flipped, it is exciting. Whether you were first to sell or not, it is still fun. Cons - This is an unfair criticism of the game. But it's just sad that this game can only be played between 2 players. I know that it is by design, but this game is just so fun not to share with more players. Although I was actually thinking that this game can be played with 3 players, but definitely not with 4 (or maybe you could combine 2 copies and also increase the market display size). ... show more

  • Tons of fun and lots of replayabity
Fun and accessible game that’s appropriate for both casual and serious gamers. Easy to learn but has surprising depth and nuance. A great two-player experience that’s easy to play without a huge time commitment.

  • Great Two Player Game!
Jaipur is one of the best two player games out there. Simple enough that anyone can learn it, and still engaging enough for hobby board gamers to enjoy. This is a great one to throw in your suitcase when you are short on space but want to bring a game along.

  • Fun game with new twists
My daughter and I really like this game, she is 8 and fairly used to playing strategy games and she picked it up easily. I like that it is fairly compact and easy to store, you need a little bit of table space but its not too bad. My only gripe might be that set up takes a little more effort and you have to it multiple times during a game (organizing the chips in order and sorting the cards a bit). It's not terrible, but takes a few mins each round. Would be nice to have a token organizer (although that might make the game storage take up more space), but would allow it to be a but more organized on a smaller table surface like a plane... I might have to 3d print one. ... show more

  • Easy to learn, challenging to master, with a fair amount of luck thrown in
This is a really fun game involving selling goods and trading camels/goods to make valuable matches to sell. It's not hard to play, although the directions are not as easy as they could be to understand. It's totally worth taking the time to figure them out. Once you start realizing the importance of camel trading the fun and challenge of the game really comes alive and me and my brother wanted to play it over and over as we each figured out different little strategies. One thing that's unique about this game over a lot of card matching/trading games is that in addition to a secret hand, you get camel cards which you play visibly out in front of you as your herd. The public market consists of 5 cards from the deck which can be either goods and/or camels. One of your options on your turn is to take all of the camels from the market to add to your herd. Another is to take a single good from the market. Or you can trade any number of camels and/or goods in your hands for ones in the market. And lastly, you can sell goods. You can get bonuses for selling multiple goods at a time. But if you wait too long to sell goods, some prices will decrease over time as they become more commonplace. ... show more

  • An all-around solid game with lots of replayability
Jaipur is one of my favorite quick games. It's dead simple to learn and play, but there's still lots of decision making and strategy that keeps it from getting old. The art is great, the components are solid, and it packs up small (even smaller if you take it out of the box and use one of the apps out there that will count your goods sales, though I myself am a fan of the tokens). Super fun 2-player game. I'm considering getting a second copy so we can try it as a 4-player game with a few tweaks, but if you're looking for the perfect game for a pair this is it. ... show more
