  • Comparison between Elite 10 and Elite 85t
Style: Elite 10 Color: Cocoa
The media could not be loaded. In pics: brown is Elite 10 and Black is the previous Elite 85t I am really surprised by the improvement in audio quality from the Elite 85t to the Elite 10. I thought the 85t had a good sound quality but when I tried these I was immediately noticing little nuances in familiar songs that I had never heard before. I tested them back and forth multiple times with a few songs and defintely prefer the 10s. I was expecting a minor improvement but this really blew me away! I noticed some negative comments saying the audio was tinny. If this is your experience use the equalizer, and turn off the Spatial sound feature. The spatial sound feature is probably not for me. Maybe good for watching movies but it has no use for songs. Basically you turn your head side to side and the direction of the audio would change as though you have a speaker in front of you. It diminishes the stereo quality of a song if you turn your head by causing the side you've tilted forward to be louder, and the side you tilt away to be quieter. If you're watching a surround sound movie I assume it would track in a more 360° style. It made my audio book sound like they were talking through a tin can or like you were talking to someone down a long echoing hallway. I've only had these earbuds for a day so maybe I'll find a use for that feature. I am sad to see you can no longer adjust the volume with the earbuds buttons by pressing and holding like you could with the 85t. I'll be missing that feature and I'm shocked they changed it. I used to use it All the Time. You can still swap ANC and Hear through on and off with the left button. It sounds about the same as before. Maybe some minor improvement on mechanical sounds like fridge or air conditioner noises but it doesn't completely drown out human noise (probably for the best) I've never been impressed by the hear through feature. It doesn't sound much different to leaving the feature off, except that there is also a light hiss from the mic. I wish the hear through would get just a little bit louder. I currently have it turned up as loud as possible and am not satisfied. One cool new feature of the elite 10 is that if you take out one earbud the other one still in your ear turns to hear through, and goes back to anc when you put it back in your ear. This feature can be enabled or disabled in the app. The shape of the case changed, I don't mind it but I wish they had left the bottom flat. Now if I want to set it upright it has to be upside down. The charging port was also moved to the bottom which is fine. The color is nice. It is a warm tone, almost a plum color in certain lights. The case collects fingerprints which is unfortunate. It's about the same size as the 85t but with slightly different dimensions The new rounded shape of the earbuds is interesting. On one hand, they are harder to remove from the case, but on the other hand the fit is amazing. I can hardly feel them in my ear. I struggle with earbuds fitting me right and these are the best fit I've ever encountered. The 85t was already a solid improvement from other earbuds I'd tried and this was a further improvement! I think it will be easier to sleep with the 10s in my ears instead of the 85Ts. Laying down on them is fairly comfortable. In summary. These headphones are solid quality, perform better than their predecessor and in my opinion are very much worth the money. The only thing I will miss is volume control from the earbuds and the only thing I wished they had was a better waterproof rating. Update: the case shape is way more annoying than I thought tbh. I keep placing it upright like the previous two cases were able to do(I had the 65t as well) only to watch it topple over. I'll get used to resting it flat or upside down but it's taken longer than expected. The case lining is also loose, which feels cheap. I added a pic and video to demonstrate. Every one in a while I put my headphones on or take them out and feel the lining wobble because in the back, it is taller than the edge of the hard case. It feels cheap considering the last set did not do this. I could see the lining potentially detaching with time. ... show more

  • Best True Wireless Headphones Around
Style: Elite 10 Color: Cocoa
First off, love the color, its as subtle brown and pretty unique in terms of other brands out there. The buds come with multiple silicon ear inserts for many different ear sizes. They are very comfortable and should fit multiple ear sizes. I tend to have larger ears and a lot of other brands don't fit well, especially when exercising, but the Jabra Elite 10's fit really well, and don't fall out when I ride my Peloton bike. The sound quality is top notch, blasting some metal or EDM while biking on my peloton sounds great. An extra bonus is the noise cancellation. It works really well at removing the background noise of the Peloton while riding which really helps me focus during some of the high intensity portions of biking classes. The battery life is quite good as well, I have over an hour train commute to work each way and that barely makes a dent in the battery, and the buds are always fully charged with the convenience of the charging case. Also the connection quality is really good, especially when on the train so far. The buds also seamlessly connects to my phone as well, which I can't say the same for some other brands where I am constantly having to go back into my phones settings to reconnect the device. Overally highly recommend these earbuds. ... show more

  • Physical buttons are a treat, insane battery life, but they need Comply tips to fit.
Style: Elite 10 Color: Cocoa
I've had these for 3 weeks. I had been using Jabra Elite 65t for maybe 4 years for exercising, and they have been dead reliable, with easy of use and incredible battery life, but they don't sound so good compared to my other headphones. I have been using AKG N400, and while they sound great, the battery life is so short its not dependable, and have quit on me while out on a run, and the controls are downright useless. I was hoping these would solve the problems of both. There are lots of quality of life improvements. The lid snaps shut with a magnet instead of a plastic latch, the buds snap down magnetically, USB-C, thinner and flatter, rubbery instead of plasticky, a rich brown chocolate color, even the buds themselves are like little chocolate truffles, with the big silver stem completely eliminated. The 65t's seem much more utilitarian and connected to Jabra's bluetooth earpiece roots, this seems like something that would be fished out of a purse, like a makeup compact. Sound quality is what I hoped for. Not as much bass as AKG, but more highs, almost to a Grado extent, which is what I was looking for, and I considered their earbuds, glad I bought these instead of those. Soundstage is as good as AKG, battery life is as good as the old Jabras at least, its hard to tell but weeks went by using them daily with the case still showing green, I've charged it once. I would often open up the AKG case to find that one of them didn't charge. The physical controls are there, they have been changed up. There is now only one button on each side, left button is configurable, right button pauses, double and triple click to go back and forwards, both left or right to change volume. It all works reliably, but it is hard to avoid hitting the button when adjusting it your ear. About that.. The first use of these wasn't a big success, the one in my right ear bounced out after a couple of steps, and I was getting frustrated when every time I would shove it back in I would hit the button. I was about to return them, but on a whim I decided to grab one of the Comply foam tips that I had on the old Jabra. The new Jabra has a strage trangular shape to the silicone tip and its mount, and I assumed the normal circular tips wouldn't fit, but I stretched them on anyways, and it didn't rip, and lo and behold, they haven't falled out of my ears once, and they even slightly improved the bass and noise canceling. Foam tips should be included in the package, I won't even bother with silicon anymore, other than that I'm very happy with these. ... show more
