  • Very Ergonomic and Great Battery Life
Size: V638 Style: Modern Color: black
My dominant hand/wrist had been in what was probably the early stages of carpal tunnel (pain and weak grip). Using this mouse fixed it for me! Pros: - very ergonomic: relieves pressure in wrist - great battery life: i use it 8 hours every workday (about 40 hours each week) and it takes about 5 weeks of continuous use for the low battery light to start flashing. Note: i turn it off after i finish using it for the day so that saves some energy consumption - buttons: has convenient back/forward buttons + extra programmable button like a gaming mouse Cons: - learning curve: as everyone else in the reviews mentioned, there's a pretty significant learning curve since using a regular mouse is probably permanently imprinted into your memory. Not as bad as the track mouse with the ball on the side though. But 1+ month later and i'm still having trouble with doing very precise cursor movements. You have to sweep your entire forearm from side to side (as opposed to moving your wrist with a regular mouse) so the precision is now based on your elbow + some wrist. - clicking: clicks sounds/feels like a very average-quality mouse. Not a deal breaker, but i'm used to using a higher-quality and nice-to-click gaming mouse so this is a bit disappointing. - wake-up function: if you leave the mouse too long (like 1 min) it will go to sleep and you have to click to wake it up, and the click will activate whatever the cursor is over as though it had been using it the whole time. Too easy to accidentally click something you didn't mean to click. I wish the first click upon waking up the mouse didn't actually do anything. Overall, this is a pretty good ergonomic mouse for the price. I no longer feel pain in my wrist, so it is indeed very ergonomic. I'll probably buy another if this one breaks, unless they or someone else makes a better one. Note: only found this out from another reviewer, but the four skid pads under the mouse each have transparent plastic over them. This is not obvious. You need to remove them for a smooth glide. ... show more

  • Cheap but very comfortable ergonomic mouse
Size: V638W Style: V638 Wireless Color: balck
This mouse is actually comfortable for medium to large hands, unlike many of the cheap vertical mice on the market. It's the closest to matching the fit of the Evoluent mice of any I've tried besides the more expensive (and non bluetooth) Contour mouse and discontinued HP vertical mouse. It's a larger fit (though still a bit smaller than Evoluent). It's tracking is way better the the totally trash Evoluent tracking. Bluetooth just worked. I wish I could reprogram the buttons...one takes you to your desktop in Windows, but on a Mac CMD+D makes a bookmark which isn't very useful. The white color is so ugly. But it's cheap, comfortable, and functional. ... show more

  • Very comfy
Size: V638 Style: Modern Color: black
This was a great mouse and definitely felt much more comfortable than a traditional mouse. It had smooth connection and worked great, but after about a year and a half of using it, it died and would not charge or connect.

  • Best mouse for large hands
Size: V638 Style: Modern Color: black
This has got to be one of the best mouses Ive found for my large hands. Ive worked in computer graphics for over 35 years and in all that time Ive never been able to find a mouse that worked well with my larger hands. It seems like the companies that make a hand held mice thinks everyone has small hands, don't get me wrong a small mouse is great if you're traveling and use a laptop but for long hours and day to day usage you can feel the stress not only in your hand but all the way up your arm, as most people that use them know this. I was very happy to see how well this fit my hand with comfort and ease while using it. There is only one small problem I had with it, and if they made the change it would be the best mouse ever, the scrolling wheel needs to be moved down just a little to align more with the middle finger from where it is now and get rid of the magnet base, sorry its useless. If you have large hands I recommend giving it a try. ... show more

  • It Took Away My Wrist Pain
Size: V628 Wired Style: Wired vertical ergonomic mouse Color: Black, Blue LED Light
My wrist was becoming quite sore from overuse on a traditional mouse. I knew that they were making new types of mouses, so I checked out the ergonomic ones. The reason I picked this one was mainly chance. There are a number of mice of this general configuration, and since this is not a store where you can handle the wares, I had to just go ahead and pick one. I am glad that I picked the one that I did. It is perfect for me. I would say I have a medium-sized hand, perhaps a bit large for a female and quite small for a male. When I grip the mouse, my fingers find the appropriate buttons instantly. Not only that, but for the first time I am using the thumb buttons since they are easy to use. Within a few days of using this mouse, my wrist pain had all but disappeared. Now that I have had it for a while I have no wrist pain. There is a learning curve for using this mouse. You move it around with your elbow and shoulder more than your wrist and this takes a while to get used to. At first, I was dragging my pinky finger beside the mouse so that it would not overshoot its destination. Now, I do not notice myself doing that anymore. This mouse will not work with a neoprene mouse pad. I had to switch out to a metal mouse pad, and let the mouse travel on the "leather" side of the mouse pad. It squeals when deployed on the aluminum side of the mouse pad. It glides very smoothly and the piece of plastic to rest the side of your palm on is a great help. I had to give this mouse a rating as far as its gaming capability. Unfortunately, I am not a gamer, so I just put in five stars because it is a nice mouse. Once you get control of it, it does glide around very fast with little friction. Also, I had to rate it as far as battery performance goes. This is a wired mouse with no batteries. This is a good thing for the environment; batteries in landfills create heavy metal pollution in groundwater, so I try to avoid accessories with batteries when I can, and use accessories with removable batteries which I can recycle if I must have batteries. I have always preferred wired mice. I just examined the bottom of the mouse, and discovered an on-off switch. this controls whether the lines around the top of the mouse glow or not. There is also a button you can depress that I suppose adjusts the DPI. A visit to the manufacturers website reveals that you can download software and customize the buttons. I tried downloading the software, and found that a wide variety of functions can be assigned to the buttons on the mouse, including three types of wheel clicks that don't do anything by default. I set mine so that a simple click on the scroll wheel will double click what I am pointing at. Cool. ... show more
