I'm taking a 1/2 cross country trip and back. NE BFE TX to the West coast. I choose this because it heats too but cool is more important. I by passed the Compressor type since I felt 40 was good enough for drinks and general food. Handles do look fair weak as noted in some review bu will be carefull of that I just got this today. 5/15-plugged it in, AC, at 12:30pm CDT inside to test. Temp inside was 75 and Humidity was 73%. Yes 73%. 2.5 hrs later, it was 50 already. Good sign in my book since 40 is supposed to be the low. I'll check again 2-3 hrs. Agin, TRYING to do a running review so this will be updated. So Seller, take a chill pill on all 3s, pun intended. Time will tell. I checked again 3.5hrs later, 45. Then checked again at 6hrs total & 46. Up 1. Inside house temp was 79. Top has only been open when temp was checked. Update, 5/17, 7:30am it was 48. Not so good now. Was hoping for closer to 40. Going the wrong way. 5/22, plugged inside again prep for trip. Started at 75 at 1pm CDT. 5/23, 6:30pm, Loaded in car at 47 and plugged in by power port. Traveled for 21 hours in car. Only 5 stops before stopping at hotel. unloaded, plugged into wall, unloaded car and checked, 38. I was impressed but the fan was getting louder. It was a quite smooth hum but it was getting louder. Still not bad and could sleep with it. 5/25, loaded into car, and only in room for 6 hours and temp went to 45. Not sure why but with fan getting louder, I was concerned there maybe an issue staring. Got to destination in CA, and checked once in room and it was 43. Still everything chilled but not he 38 in Barstow. 5/26, after being out all day, it shows 47 now, in the room, and has been constantly plugged in. Again, still chilled but creeping up. My hope was it would stay at 45 or lower if always plugged in. So here until the 29th so I will update more later. After the 9+ day trip, it stayed around 47 to 53 degrees. It did get to as low as 38 but only once. This was plugged in, AC/or DC, the whole time. So I still give it a 3, got what I paid for. It kept things cool and what was expected. I have more temp pics but this was the most consistent temp. and I did check at least 20 plus times and the cooler lid was kept closed most of the time. No multiple in and outs in a short period and it was never powered off more than about 20 minutes and only about 5 times during the whole trip. So good for long trips or camping and such and of course I'm keeping it even though I have no more long trips planned. Side note, I do have a boat and I wouldn't use it for that for just a day or weekend since you would want to plug it in at least a day early. I'd stick with good ole Ice. ... show more

I use it for picnics and long car trips. I am very pleased with it. I had another kind a few years ago and used it a lot until it quit working and I couldn’t get it fixed. Lightweight, easily portable, nice size. However: Slots for 2 dividers, but only 1 divider provided :-( Also, temp only goes down to upper 40s, You WILL need to use supplemental ice if you want your food and drinks to actually stay COLD !!! (Mold will still grow in a COOL "cooler".) I have to use an 80% full frozen juice bottle and medium-size ice pack to get it in the mid-30s and then I monitor it with an indoor-outdoor sensor !!!! Still good if you don't mind changing these out with a like set every 12 hours on a normal day. (More often on a hot day or if you keep a warm house.) Did get it Used - Like New, so the price was semi-decent!!! ... show more

We took a 10 day road trip. Wanted fresh fruit and cold drinks without the mess. This plugs into a cigarette lighter or a 110 outlet. When at the hotel we rolled it in and all of our fruit stayed fresh and the drinks were cold. I highly recommend!

I like this cooler/warmer size and functionality wise. I had one for a year of constant use. After the year of constant use in my truck I decided to buy a fresh one. I have been also in contact with the customer service and I can assure of professionalism and helpfulness. I recommend to try one.
