  • Very Sturdy -- Wrong Parts & Chinese mistakes make assembly hard
The 5 stars is for the finished assembled product. Very sturdy, great item. It sights high enough for me to stand easily (I have bad knees and it kept me from working in the yard). People need to understand with the weight of this item and your body, you will not go rolling around on it easily in grass or even on pavement until you are down the side of a slippery hill (meaning to turn the wheels you have to lift your rear off the seat to jerk the handle--which is fine). I also found out that even though the seat fits nicely and I thought comfortable--after working several hours the night before, I woke with a very sore rear end lasting a couple of days!. You should consider buying the cushion found somewhere online. ALSO, if you are sensitive to SMELL, realize the wheels are high quality and the same as a CAR wheel--so the will stink while inside. RE: ASSEMBLY: Getting to that point is a chore. First, it is made in China, and parts are not available separately to the sales company in the U.S. Second, my Dad is a professional engineer (over 60 yrs working), designs and builds everything including cars and rockets...the screws & bolts were the wrong size, the holes not lined up, but was able to do his tricks to get around that and use his own screws and bolts--and after 5 hours (ACTUALLY 5 hours!) of hard work when he ALMOST finished assembling it -- ONE OF THE WHEEL AXLES WAS WELDED ON THE MAIN FRAME AT A DIFFERENT SIZE THAN THE REST OF THEM, SO THE WHEEL COULD NOT GO ON!!! None of the other wheels fit, it was if they just picked up something and welded it on. Very weird. (It was packaged as if children in China were learning how to toss things in a box.) We called the sales office (can't call manufacturer in China), they were nice but said the axles aren't sent to them separately, and would send an entire mainframe with the welded on axles...we made them PROMISE they'd test the axles to make sure they fit the 4 tires. It arrived quickly--but was JUST the mainframe WITHOUT ANY AXLES!!!!! It was a VERY heavy item. They ended up telling us to just toss it, the return shipping was too much for a piece they wouldn't probably need. They decided to just send us an entire shipment replacement. Thankfully, we kept the original box, because the 2nd box arrived totally destroyed--due to the excess weight of the item--So, we were able to just take out the axle needed, and move the unopened replacement into the original box to return all in about 30 mins. We were lucky that our UPS person came that same day and took it (you do have to drop it off at UPS if you don't have one coming on a regular basis--or pay for pick-up--and it is HEAVY!!!). So, if you have the patience to put it together, it is a very good item. Just wish Americans could learn to make things here again. ... show more

  • Terrific cart...terrible directions.
You will be so proud of yourself when (if) you get this assembled. It is well engineered. It is strong and sturdy. The wheel base is perfect for a garden with paths made of 18" stepping stones. It is very cute. The tractor seat, the tool caddy and the rear basket are nice touches. The adjustable height seat lets you sit and spin around 360 degrees. It's a little hard to turn the front wheels with your full weight on the cart but if you raise up a little it will turn easily. That's the good news. Now for the bad. The directions are terrible. The different size bolts and nuts are not mentioned in the parts list. If you are not familiar with bolt dimensions you can't be sure you are using the right bolt in the right hole. There are a couple parts not mentioned in the directions and there are directions to assemble things that are already put together. It's not just the usual language problem. The directions lacked detail and specificity. But a picture is worth a thousand words and the schematic and the photo of the finished product were a great help. I put the cart together, leaving the nuts on the bolts loosely. Dear husband used tools snd strength I didn' t have to tighten everything up. We're ready to garden! ... show more

  • Garden scooter
It took a long and hard time to put together but when it was completed it is worth the effort. My husband loves it and doesn't have to bend as much anymore.

  • Will not hold up -- look somewhere else.
We have 2 80x30 greenhouses with 30 raised beds. We own 4 of this type rolling garden seats with the wide tractor seats. There are 4 of us that work in the garden, each of us around 70 and so these little gems are wonderful for when we are planting, weeding or harvesting. We each spend at least 2-4 hours per day sitting on one of these. I originally bought 2 greens ones from another vendor, but when I needed a second pair, I made the mistake of thinking they were pretty much all made by the same company, just marketed under different names. My first two (from the other vendor) we've had for 3 years, and they are indestructible. These, not so much. In fact, we've had these two (this product from this vendor) for less than a year, and they are totally falling apart. The welding on the seats have given out and the seat completely fallen off the shaft. Also, the wheels are falling off - they first started wobbling a lot, and falling in toward the middle of the frame, and now they are just barely hanging in there. I'm back on Amazon right now looking for a well built replacement, but figured since I was here, you could benefit from my bad experience. Avoid this one at all costs, because unless you're using it for yard art, it just isn't up the job. ... show more

  • unlabelled parts, dark pictures, tiny basket
The pieces are not marked and you need your own tools so it might be helpful to be mechanically inclined. Additionally, the basket pictured just fits between the back wheels but the one that comes is only 6 inches wide- just about as wide as the posts to which it is attached, and 5 inches long and 6 inches deep. Structurally, it is sturdy, once properly assembled. With gathering tools and the trial and error needed to get the correct sized bolts in their locations, this took about an hour and a half to put together. Using the 360* view from the ad for this is what made it possible for me to make this usable. ... show more

  • Steering
It’s very hard to put the wheels on
Reviewed in the United States on June 19, 2024 by Lupe M Trunck

  • Great!!!
Although the box it came in was in bad shape, everything was there. The hardware was separately wrapped and nothing was missing.. The hardware was high quality with all nylock nuts threaded on the mating bolts. Mine will steer easily. Just don't overtighten the steering joints hardware. Contrary to some of the other comments, I found the instructions were well written ... and in English:). There are step by step instructions, an exploded view, and a numbered parts list. What more would you need? ... show more
