These are budget-friendly boots that are waterproof and are soft and composite toe versions. They are comfortable with a short break-in period and provide excellent value for their price, My husband loves them.

I have used these boots for 3 years now and I will not use any other ones. I work mostly on hard surfaces like asphalt and concrete and my feet don’t hurt at the end of the day like they would with other boots I have used in the past. The quality of these boots is awesome, I put them through a lot and they have never ripped, torn nor has the stitching start to unstitch. Very comfortable and easy to break in and they LAST! They keep the feet warm in the winter and on those chilly days. If you have a slighter wider foot then go for the extra wide. They fit like a glove and overall just worth it!

I’m so glad my husband asked for these boots! He doesn’t ask for much! He works hard & is on his feet all day! He’s been so fatigued & had terrible leg pains & back pains! He was wearing cheap shoes, because that’s all we could afford! But like I said, he doesn’t ask for much, so I knew I was going to make these boots happen for him, no matter what! WE MADE IT WORK! Best investment ever!!! He’s not in any pain anymore! He’s only had them for about a week too! I’m so impressed & so happy with the results! PLUS, they’re very handsome! They are by far the nicest boots he’s ever owned! I love the aesthetics of the leather! Just so handsome & well made! Top notch quality!!! Lightweight & extremely durable! The soles are fantastic! I recently decided to purchase a pair of work boots. Not wanting to spend too much money on a high priced pair of Red Wings to destroy, I did some research and came across the Irish Setter brand, which is the entry brand for Red Wings. The requirements were that it had to have a Goodyear welt (for durability) and have little to no break in period. These boots check those marks. The leather feels strong but is not uncomfortable. They have been getting more comfortable as I wear them. The insole is fiberboard I believe, covered with a comfortable insert that is removable/replaceable with a new or orthopedic one. Since they are made by Red Wing Shoes, I visited a local store to try them on. They did not have the style I wanted so I purchased them through Amazon. I’m usually a 10 in shoes (although it may vary by a half size) and settled on a 9.5 wide. The toe box is plenty spacious and they are not long to where it looks like I am wearing clown shoes. Overall very impressed. I do wish these had a leather midsole (rather than plastic which could crack) but for the price, the omission is understandable. I have seen several videos on YouTube of these boots being re-soled and modified to have a leather midsole. If these last, I may just purchase a new pair rather than attempting repair. These are stylish but also ready for work right out of the box. The only downside I have encountered is the laces. They seem to have a bit of give after being tied to where I feel they loosen a bit throughout the day. I’m not sure if it’s the way I walk or tie them. I replaced them with leather laces I had and have not had that issue. ... show more
