All of the boards were good until I got to the last board, which is cracked. They put 'fragile' on the box but it was still mishandled. I would not make a big deal about this but the crack appears to be right below where the shelf screws in so I am concerned about the shelf holding. I tried to request a replacement of just that board rather than returning the whole thing by emailing the company 4 or more days ago, and also left a voicemail yesterday, no one responds. It's also a little wobbly, hopefully that will get better once the shelves are put in. Make sure to wear gloves when you put this thing together too if you have sensitive hands(mine have been dry from handwashing in the usual too hot water in the winter)I got a bunch of scratches from the MDF sawdust poking me. ... show more

I bought this to use as a bedside table in my studio apartment. Since all I need it for is to set my phone on to charge overnight, I figured the small size would be ideal. The only hitch? The table is 35" tall, not 28", which is going to make it super awkward beside my normal-height bed (29"). I'll still use it, as I've taken the time to put it together (which was really easy once I identified the pieces), but I'm not as enthusiastic about it as I was when I dropped it in my cart to check out. A simple thing like building a shelf is made harder by not identifying the parts. You have to scrutinize the holes to make sure your boards are the proper ones, and correctly aligned. I transposed the back right and left panels, therefore the back brackets came in, and I lost 2.25 of an inch of shelf space. Books still fit, don't feel like unscrewing, in particle board, and reversing panels. The instructions have a LOT of room for improvement. I usually assemble things correctly. I got this stand for my hallway an for my kids to use for their school belongings. It fits nicely where I wanted it to. When the product arrived it was cracked on two boards. I'm assuming from the drill holes not being drilled properly. The packaging was fine.

I've been using this thing for about three months. It's just the right size for the little space I have along the wall next to my bed. It's decent quality for the price. It's light, but not flimsy. I wouldn't sit on it, but it holds my night reading material and my Yogasleep dohm white noise maker at the perfect height -- which, for me -- is just a little over ear height when I'm laying in bed. [This may be irrelevant to you, but who knows? If external noises are bothering you at night, I recommend trying it. It creates a noise floor that sort of masks external sounds that might otherwise catch your attention while sleeping -- or, especially, when trying to GET to sleep.] Anyway, I'm happy with this little shelf. I sat it by my bed, and it was a little tall but worked just fine, so I got a second, and they're working great. So getting the good out of the way. This is a nice sturdy shelf and almost perfectly fit my needs. Width and height it was absolutely perfect. The ease of putting together left a bit to be desired but I was able to assemble it on my own. The only major problem with assembly is that none of the pieces have stickers and the assembly instructions I got are for the bigger unit. However it assembles the same way so that wasn't a problem. The stickers almost were though as I almost put the wrong shelf pieces I'm the wrong spots. Now for my reason why the shelf lost a star. The adjustability of the shelves is AWFUL. I bought this to put my gaming guides and artbooks on. Books that are usually quite tall and putting the shelves on evenly they were about a half inch too short to put these tall books on. Unfortunately the only way I could make the books fit was to either remove the top shelf entirely and lose a shelf or do what I did... which is move the two bottom shelves down. This resulted in a tiny tiny space that I am going to be putting switch games on and a shelf that is tall enough to fit the books but leaves a sold 5 inches of empty space above the books. The shelves also screw in instead of being placed on pegs so it is NOT easy to adjust the shelves. You practically have to take the whole thing apart. Bit that small shelf at the bottom of the picture? That how big of a gap is between each shelf height. Small for a shelf... but pretty big for the adjustment gap on shelves. I would have MUCH preferred if the shelf adjustment was more in the realm of 3 inches apart than the almost 6 inches. I can't even put the covers on the holes because I need the ability to remove the top shelf or moves the shelves in the future. So while the size of this is perfect for a small space and perfect for if you want a shelf to display a small collection of something. The actual spacing of the shelves is awful and leaves a ton of wasted space if you need to put anything on the shelves that exceeds a height of 10.5 inches. Also. I got the shelf on sale for $22 and would NOT spend any more than that on it. It's a nice looking shelf, but for what it is it is not worth more than like $25. ... show more
