We wanted a good quality, stylish and smaller sized BarcaLounger styled chair to fit within our mother’s assisted living residence that was easy for her to use and comfortable so that she could rest while enjoying a book or watching television, and safely fall asleep in the chair without concern for her safety (falling). The Blue Chenille fabric option was the perfect choice for our elderly mother. In addition, the technical features of the lounge chair—recline position with legs and feet up, and especially the forward-tilt feature for mom to be able to go from chair to walker—we’re huge selling features!!!! It even had massage features which we have yet to access. She loves it! We do too, as it is very comfortable for any family member to pay a visit with mom. The only downside is the manufacturer opted to ship using FedEx, and they shipped the chair in two separate boxes, so we had to wait another week until the second box was delivered as supposedly FedEx lost the second shipment. Customer service was excellent and helped resolve the issue satisfactorily. I received a response right away and felt like there was an actual human helping me. I urged them to use UPS shipping instead as they seemed to have had similar issues with FedEx. FYI: the chair requires assembly and we had the chair assembled easily by our mother’s assisted living maintenance man. ... show more

We got this chair for my husband who has back pain. He is able to adjust the chair to a position to help alleviate some of that pain. Shipping was very fast. It was easy to put together. It seems well constructed and solid. The cushions are soft but firm enough that you don't sink into them. I sat in it a few times... enough that it put my old worn out recliner to shame... so we bought another one of these today - for me. I'm 5'3 and this size chair fits me perfectly. My feet touch the floor, which is rare with the new gigantic furniture nowadays. The lift mechanism is quiet and the remote is easy to use. The massage is nice with several different settings. The lay flat design is super nice and invites you to take that nap you need... * We ordered the brown chenille fabric - One note about the brown chenille color... The photos for this color make it look like a medium/chocolate brown. What we received is very dark - more like dark cocoa. I realize that different device screens can make things look different... Not a deal breaker by any means, but I would have liked the lighter brown. I highly recommend this chair. ... show more

    • Nice recliner for the money

It was shipped quickly but did arrive in 2 boxes each one day apart. No big deal I expected this after reading other reviews and confirmed this after calling the number provided on Amazon for the Irene Store. They service sends really decent from them. They gave me the tracking number for the second package and the delivery date - next day. Everything worked and was easy to put together. The main box is a bit heavy but needs to be for a lift chair. The heater and massage both work really well. One setting for heat and multiple ones the the massager. The cushions are firm but comfortable and it lays flat for sleeping which I will need for rotator cuff surgery coming up. There is a gap where your lower back lays so the included pillow will be needed for that or possibly another pillow depending on your back. I was looking at a nice recliner locally for 900 to 1800 and this one is close to quality of the more expensive one for a lot less. The service for the company so far had been very good. The one remote did have a broken section to it and they are shipping me a new one now, the day after it arrived and have provided me a tracking number for that. The are also wheels that go into the back of the chair that make it easy to move it around without having to lift it or drag it, just need to pick up on the front a little. I wanted a smaller recliner, and this is the perfect size for a 5'3" lady. The color is beautiful (a light cool beige). The upholstery fabric is soft, quite sturdy, and cleans easily (this has not been tested on any real dirt but just a small spill). Mechanics work fine, no problems. Only small complaint is that the seat could be a little more padded, a little more comfortable for long term TV and reading. I see some complaints about the space made when reclined way back (maybe for people who want to sleep in it??). This is not an issue for me. For the money, great chair. I hope it continues to serve me well for year's...time will tell. ... show more
