I got this incubator for my mom. She raises lots of types of ducks, chickens, and other birds on her farm and while she has larger incubators, I got this one for her to use with those special eggs she wants to keep a closer eye on. She keeps this in her house while her other incubators are outside in a shed. It is easy to read the status of eggs. good build quality and it holds a good amount of fertalized eggs. She likes that it moves the eggs for you and the size and shape make it easy to move around as needed. I am really impressed with the professional quality of this egg incubator. The incubator is has a capacity for 56 eggs and features automatic humidity control. The automatic egg turning is such a cool feature, that feature can be customized, and turning can be stopped in the final four days before hatching. The incubator runs really quiet, I live in a tiny home and I keep the incubator in my back room because I like to stare at the eggs, willing them to hatch. When I am not in the room, I can’t hear any noise from the incubator. I like the open design of the incubator with the clear top, so the chicks have plenty of space when they hatch. ... show more

    • Spacious, Hatch Chickens, Quail, or Ducks, Auto Controls
I had used smaller incubators before, but with hatching rates rarely being near 100%, I wanted to find a larger incubator so the final number of chicks would be more. Also, I tend to give away the males because I usually one keep one or none at all since hens alone give me the eggs I want. I don't hatch them for the meat, but more as pets, and like to have a flock about 15-20 at a time. Also, I usually have half ducks, and duck ages are larger, so this incubator can handle those as well. There is a nice large viewing area to observe their condition and to provide room when hatching, and the device practically automates everything - the turning of the eggs can be custom set, and there is temperature and humidity controls, which you can monitor the status on the digit display. The humidity can be a little off with any of the incubators sometimes so I always watch that closely, but they include a bottle directly connected with this model which helps. The iPettie Nestasy ProHatch is an eggselent incubator. Being able to adjust the dividers of the egg tray makes it suitable for hatching various breeds of birds. Until recently, incubators had a preprogrammed turn time of 120 minutes, but these newer models, like iPettie have adjustable rotation times, which, again, makes them suitable for hatching various breeds. The water intake system works well, but could use an upgrade to a larger gauge hose. The candling light is bright, as is the screen. So far, the iPettie Nestasy ProHatch56 Egg Incubator works really well. I have other incubators and as with all products they seem to improve with trials, test, and time. The grate holes are small and don't have to worry about the newly hatched chicks drowning. I don’t have to keep my eyes pasted on the water level and fill up the tray with water constantly so that's a big plus. Currently I have 5 newly hatched eggs and not sure if they're all fertilized. Great option for anyone with a variety of birds. We have had chickens and are thinking about adding quail. I love that this will allow me to do any eggs we have. Th egg incubator is lightweight and fits on the counter. The lid is a little cheaply made, seems like it'll crack easily. Otherwise works well, comes with instructions. Setting the temp is pretty easy.
