Great purchase so far! I purchased this for my ipad, which hasn't arrived yet, but will tomorrow. So to test the product I paired it with my phone. It has an initial charge, I'm not sure if it's a full or partial charge. I'd assume partial. It comes with a micro USB cable, so that's always good. These days I tend to assume nothing comes with things I need. It saves me disappointment later. Anyway, I got off topic. The backlighting is gorgeous and VERY even. Multiple colors. The functions are pretty clear on what they are and how to make it work, but if you're tech challenged like I am it also comes with a detailed in plain speak user manual. Easy pairing. Very easy. Also, the typing is AWESOME on my phone. There is no lag when typing out the words, it's just like typing on a computer keyboard. The materials for the actual ipad housing seem VERY sturdy and despite the pricing, not at all flimsy and cheap. Definitely seems like a case that will protect my ipad against the inevitable fall that comes from having 3 cats that like to knock things over. Also, the exterior. WOW. So when I read that it's got the whatchamacallit non slide material I was like "yeah okay." But it actually seems like it would work well. It's non slide without being sticky too. Bought 2 sets to pair with a 2018 IPad Pro and 2020 IPad Air. Works quite well. Only issue is that you have to manually it pair the Bluetooth instead of automatically detecting it. The viewing angle is adjustable and the backlit keyboard is bright. The keys clicked when depressed and feel good. The battery life is fairly good. Overall it’s quite heavy and thick but it’s sturdy. A good buy as a substitute for the ridiculously overpriced Magic keyboard. ... show more

Case fits a new iPad Air perfectly. Love the lighted keyboard, and the ability to change colors of the lighting. Paired easily. What I don't like is the keyboard needs to be relocated every time you open or close the case. The keyboard stays in position on the case with magnets. When you open the case, the keyboard needs to be repositioned about 4" to allow the screen to tilt in to position correctly. When you want to close the case, reverse. What I liked was the size and durability of the iPad. However in the attempt to setting up the iPad it locked up on me and I forgot the 6 digit passcode I entered in the Security access that unlocks the iPad to use it. Apple security system only allowed me only a small amount of rertries to guess what the passcode I entered. Then the iCloud security software disabled my iPad. I looked through Apples online support to see if there was a solution to this problem. I tried several solutions mentioned in there procedures to correct this issue but didn't get the iPad useable. I called Apples support center and didn't get any further than I did online using their support database. So now I have a $550.00 paper weight sitting on my desk. I might do better online using u-tube procedures that's my next step. Frustrated! By the way the carrying case and keyboard are excellently made and fit the ipad perfectly. ... show more

I have purchased thousands of items online and I am not a fan of writing reviews… . BUT I WILL MAKE AN EXCEPTION FOR THIS 2 Years after purchase. In a hurry to get my dog to the Vet, I placed my iPad and iPhone on the trunk of my car and drove approx 2 miles to the animal hospital. I was going to show the vet pictures when I realized I did not have my iPad or iPhone. After seeing the vet I drove back home another 2 miles and upon taking my dog out of the car there was my iPhone and iPad on the trunk of the car. The media could not be loaded. I love this product a lot because it gives me the feel of having a laptop. I love the way the keyboard feels, it’s lightweight, it lights up, easy to use. The only reason why I gave it 3 stars is because it does get annoying when you have to close your iPad and the keyboard doesn’t go with it. When I bought it, I thought the keyboard would be attached to the case but it’s not. It’s separate from the case so whenever I close my iPad I have to put the keyboard in a separate area and that’s how it will get lost. So that’s a big issue for me but other than that I freaking loveeeeeeeee this product. I just wish I could keep it attached to the case somehow. Oh and you do have to charge the keyboard, it’s Bluetooth so once you connect it to your iPad your good to go. I love typing with it, it makes it so much easier for me to do what I need to do in my iPad. I was thinking about getting a laptop but then I came across this product and thought it was a great idea. So if you have an iPad already and don’t want to spend money on getting a laptop, this product is good for you if you don’t mind that the separation of the keyboard and the case. This is just a test document. I recently acquired a new iPad and an accompanying case with keyboard. So far it works great. The keyboard has a really good feel to it and the keys also feel good to the touch. They do not stick nor are they super subtle. They have a nice spring to them that feels almost like using an old school desktop which brings nostalgia. The keyboard also lights up which will make it super handy when I am in low lit areas, a feature that did not come with all of the other keyboard/case combinations that I had seen. I have only had this keyboard for a couple hours but so far I cannot stop typing! This in combination with the Apple Pencil will make work just that much easier and enjoyable.
