I already have Ring doorbells so setup was simple. Scan the barcode in the printed instructions. Follow a few steps and your done. Since the camera can pan and tilt allow enough room around the camera for this. Otherwise it can literally push itself off your shelf. Optically it’s outstanding. Clear, wide angle images. Integration with existing Ron’s devices is great. Everything sets up in a similar manner. Alerts, zones, and such are the same. Our family has been using Ring Protect for sometime. For the most part the ring app has always worked as designed. I have been waiting a while for them to come up with a pan-capable camera. It is functional, but aesthetically lacking. Pros: - pans smoothly and quietly - home position lock. After live viewing the cam and panning around to see the room; once you exit the live view the Ring Cam was adjust back to the default viewing position you choose during setup. - low light color (image1) and night vision (image2) are clear - built in privacy cover, that once slid to lock position, turns off video and audio - install was a breeze; go to your ring add, add new device, scan the QR code and follow instructions. Was probably the smoothest install of a Ring device for me as of yet. Cons: - the build of the device is kind of bulky. It is clear the decided to add to an existing design instead of creating an entirely new one. This cam looks like the engineers just stuck an indoor cam on an additional base that had the pan and tilt function. - would be nice if Ring started making more higher definition cameras, as this one is still 1080p Overall, I am pleased to add this to our home security collection. I will update with any further developments! Update: - I hope the developer's are listening and will add this via software update in the future. But, a huge selling point would be motion tracking after detected. If the subject walks out of view of the positioned cam, the only way to follow would be LIVE VIEW and manually. Not a deal breaker for our needs, but a more than worthy function that should be included. ... show more

This new ring pan and tilt camera is really cool. It has a 360° rotation and about 120° vertical movement. It has high-quality audio and it works very very well. I would recommend anybody wanting a camera. This is a good one.

Great camera, especially if you have used Ring cams before. This for me was a two in one, the 360 rotate, and tilt is simple to use. I like the tools and ease of use compared to the Blink camera systems. Only caveat for my needs, I’d pay more for a higher resolution ‘pro’ version, then I’d give it 5 stars. I’d pay for another new cam if that happened. ... show more

This is a review of the Ring Pan-Tilt Indoor Camera. Overall, I give it 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. This is an initial review as the camera was set up not long ago. Likes: 1. Quality camera resolution. Of course this can be dependent on your internet speed as it is connected via WiFi. 2. Night vision works great. 3. Motion detection works great and is highly adjustable for range and sensitivity. 4. Alerts of any motion is great and can be adjusted to your preferences. 5. App for remote viewing is good and easy to use basic stuff. Some adjustments when you have it integrated to the Ring Alarm can get more complicated. 6. Audio receive and transmit is great. 7. The Pan and Tilt features are such an advantage over the old models. Now you can swivel side-to-side, up-and-down from the app in your phone or tablet. Plus, after viewing is done, the camera will reset to the default position, which I really like. If you want a more permanent adjustment, just physically adjust the camera. 8. A little more weight to the camera versus the older models that were too lightweight. If I bumped the cord of the old ones, it would jostle the position and angle of view. The bew model minimizes this with a little more heft, which will keep it stable when it Pan-Tilts. Dislike: - None so far for this camera. I do have some complaints for may aging Ring system. Sometimes I felt that when you get an alert and try to view the alert (never tried with this specific camera yet), it would be delayed before you can get a live feed. By the time you see anything, the person could be long gone. Then when you go to review the footage, it takes long to load. Overall, this Ring Pan-Tilt Indoor Camera has been great initially, 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. We shall see in the long-term. The old ones are still working great, but how will the pan-tilt motors hold up? ... show more

Works super, great picture quality but sound is not as good as thought. Breaks up if the environment is noisy (e.g. garage door opens) Pan function is very helpful. Ring is a solid brand.
