So I've been waiting a while to write this review to get a decent feel. Honest opinion, AWESOME television. Amazing value, picture quality was great. Color/contrast didn't need adjusting right out of the box (personal opinion obviously). Alexa listened and responded promptly. I could just step through my front door and ask her to turn the TV on and within seconds I was at the main screen. Speaking of the interface, I found it quite intuitive. Not to disparage anyone but if you have a general understanding of how computers and/or other smart devices like smart phones you shouldn't have a problem. Easy to setup and connect. Easy to connect to all your subscriptions and apps. The only issues I've run into are on a rare occasion there is a very slight lag when scrolling through apps. But if you just go into settings and do a TV restart it clears right up. All in all, at the price with the quality. A must buy. Addendum: I will concede I do not connect external hard rives but my XBOX connects flawlessly. Great TV! ... show more

I love this big screen HD television. It provides a very clear detailed picture, with vibrant color and detail. It is great for watching sporting events (like football and basketball). The sound is very good too. Instant access to streaming channels (like Prime and Nerflix) is convenient. I wish the remote control was larger and had more control options, but it works well. The tv comes very well, safely packaged. All you need do is put the two feet on, plug it in and ready to go. The actual setup process is more lengthy than expected but not too bad. The tv looks very nice with surprisingly thin bezels. Sound is good enough that we decided to forego a sound bar. There is a 3.5mm audio port that works as expected. The internet connections both wired and wifi are a bit on the slow side but again good enough. That said when testing i found that wifi was a little faster than using an ethernet cable which was very surprising and a first in my experience. The picture quality depends greatly on settings. As shipped the default video settings are awful. But with some adjustments, to most all of them, you can end up with pretty good picture quality, it just takes a bit to get everything changed. Thankfully once done it's something you never need to do again. Personally after making those changes i use the "native" video selection not any of the others listed in that section. While the 'alexa' enabled voice function is hyped a lot it really isn't of much use unless you've misplaced the remote. TIP if you have other echo devices within earshot do change their wake word so it's no longer "alexa" but instead ziggy, computer or echo. Reason being if you try saying alexa...meant for the tv but they hear it and then you get the response "this device doesn't support that." Just go to the alexa app, find your device, settings, then scroll down towards bottom where you'll see "wake word." There you can pick whichever you want. Lastly keep in mind while it's light enough that one person can easily lift it you'll likely need two sets of hands to place it where you want as it's too big for one to move it around. Wherever it ends up don't forget about glare. The screen is glossy and any little bit of direct sun results in a lot of glare. We didn't realize this until after it was mounted. Now whenever it's used during the day forces us to close all the window blinds. Overall for the price paid, we're happy with the television's performance. It's not perfect but for the money and what you get it's a good value. ... show more
