This review is for a TV that cost me $100. This is a great TV for the cost and would make a great TV for the kids room or as a 2nd TV for a bedroom, which is how I use it. This TV is very bright. I actually turned down the brightness by 10% because when I'm in bed in the dark it was a strain on my eyes. The colors aren't as rich and vibrant as on my main TV, but for the cost the picture looks very good. I expected the sound to be reminiscent of an old AM radio. I was surprised at the full range of sound. Obviously the bass won't make the walls shake and if you're listening to music through the TV the highs will be muffled, but for regular TV/Movie watching the TV sounds really good. I haven't cranked up the volume so I can't comment about distortion on louder levels. The only thing that I notice that reminds me that this is a low cost TV is the speed. Scrolling across the apps does have a slight delay. I have 13 TV/Movie apps installed in addition to several apps that come preinstalled. When you turn off this TV it basically just turns off the monitor. The longer I go between actually restarting the TV the worse the delay gets. Restarting the TV eliminates the delay for a few days. If you're looking for a high end TV with incredible picture and sound, this TV is not for you. Of course, if you're looking for a high end TV you should know you will need to spend a lot more then $100. If you're looking for a small TV for the kids room or as a TV for the bedroom, this is a great TV. ... show more

smart UI and usability; easy to use. one of the best features is the integration of OTA (over the air — antenna) channels and the IPTV (internet) channels in a single Guide(channel list). the other good thing about the Live Guide is that it is adjustable. you can create a favorites list, that defaults to coming up first in the guide, and you can set the odering of all the channels in the list. set up favorites and then set in which order they appear. this takes some minutes to setup and adjust; but the reward of the default channel list you prefer is worth it. picture quality is as advertised as well. easy access to apps as well. ... show more

    • Excellent and versatile TV/computer, but….

Modern television are increasingly extensions of computer technology and they all have one thing in common; a lack of useful documentation. Pairing my Xfinity ( or FIOS) remote to the TV has been frustrating. Turning on thr TV requires answering “Who’s Watching” then speaking HDMI One to reach Xfinity when all I want most of the time is only TV. Perhaps there is a way to default to HDMI one but so far I have not figured it out and the website documentation is barely useful. Regardless, the image quality is excellent. There are more apps than I care to count. I have an older optical only sound bar that cannot interface with the HDMI-ARC feature But that is my problem and not Amazon. Of course, Amazon does offer a good sound bar at a reasonable price supporting HDMI – ARC. This is the second Fire TV I have purchased this year and the interface issues are the same for both. They are reasonably priced and they both perform well. I don’t believe there are any fundamental problems and perhaps it is “my bad” that I do not speak Amazoneese ... show more

I bought this tv for a replacement tv for my daughter after hers went out. She absolutely loves it. Perfect size and sound quality. The picture is colorful. I am planning on purchasing another one for a guest bedroom. Good quality tv for the price. Setup is a breeze.
