For the price, this is a great little TV. Incredibly easy to set up. Basically a plug 'n play after it searches and finds your WiFi connection! Just click on the installed channels to accept the ones you want. TONS of free stuff & there are others with options to purchase. The only negative things to mention are 1. The remote is tiny and the volume/mute buttons are in an awkward spot on the top right side. It would be more convenient to have them on the front so accidentally hitting the vol/mute buttons didn't happen. 2. Sound quality isn't as sharp as it ought to be. The volume can be vastly higher or lower between channels, too. But the muffled tone is there on all of them. It's not just me, as I also have a similar sized Sony in my living room and the difference is definitely noticeable. A separately purchased sound bar might help. All things considered, I'm still pleased with my purchase and would more than likely purchase a TCL again. ... show more

I was a little skeptical at first when I saw the price of this product. Very lightweight I could pick it up with one hand. I actually wondered at first was it a real television? Lol I actually thought it was larger and I was pleased that it was exactly the size I wanted to put in my bookshelf in my bedroom. I’m not a TV watcher occasionally I do watch when My granddaughter, May come Over she likes to watch TV in the bedroom, which is where I placed the television. I was pleased.     • Great TV but remote is a cruel joke

I'd give this TV a 4 1/2 rating if Amazon allowed for half-stars. The TV itself is great, its picture vivid and bright. The remote? Well, um, it's lousy, like something you'd find in the toys section of a dollar store. Even sitting 10 feet away, I had to perform arm gyrations to get the thing to work with the TV. Plus, the OK button (the most important one of all) is absolutely flat on the panel and surrounded by 4 elevated arrow keys that dare you to hit OK. I think that maybe some engineers sat around a table and figured out how to manufacture a remote that would irritate everyone. I bought a $39 ultra Roku remote, and it works mighty fine with the TV. My advice? Buy the TV, spring $40 more for a genuine Roku remote, and you will be very pleased. ... show more

Had to buy two of these to replace the tvs in each of our daughter's rooms due to a surge in power after a storm. Old tvs got fried. They had a regular 32in with a fire stick originally. We got these because we have a TCL 4K 45in Roku I'm our room. The kids love that they can now watch VUDU on their TVs, unlike before. They also like the feature with the app that allows them to listen over their headphones. We got these ones for $160 each with the protection plan. Totally worth it. ... show more

This tv was a very good investment. When I opened it up I was shocked at how big it actually is. It seems to be bigger than 32 inches. I’m disabled so I’m on a limited income so I don’t have cable or internet. I used my Wi-Fi hotspot on my phone to set it up. You need to set up a Roku account (which is free) it asks you for credit card information to pay for any channels like HBO or Showtime but I skipped that part because I don’t want to pay for more stuff. They also want you to download the Roku app, (which is also free) and it shows all the movies and tv shows you can watch for free. There is a ton of them. Then there is a section to set up any devices that you wish to hook up to your tv, like DVD player, game consoles and so on. Then you set up the tv part where it searches for the channels from cable or in my case, the antenna. It found 56 channels on my antenna. That’s more channels than I previously had. The setup was super easy, the tv is really lightweight, the picture and sound quality is exceptional and the size is perfect. I am very pleased with this purchase and I’m excited to use it. I just got it today so I haven’t really had time to explore everything yet. But so far I love it !! UPDATE: I have had this tv for a long time now and I have had zero issues.
