  • Fantastic Pool!!
Size: 1 Pack
First off, do not listen to the reviews saying it lost air or broke within the first week or so. We all know by the grammar and spelling they use that they aren't capable of reading directions and probably placed it right on a rock or inflated it too much. So, because of their incompetence they come back here and yell things like "Great... if you love crappy exploding, pools." Or "stinky turd of a product." The other review even goes on to say that they were not even in the pool, or around it when this rip happened. Well, let's put on our third grade thinking caps and think of reasons an inflatable toy pops when you are not watching it: Maybe an animal clawed at it, wind blew something sharp into it, mischievous neighborhood bully ran into the yard and popped it because your son kicked him in the balls the day before, etc etc. There are hundreds of reasons something can pop without you looking at it. Someone without the intelligence level to know this should not be allowed to bad mouth products because of their incompetence. But this is the internet and unfortunately they get loose around here from time to time. Now, on to my actual review: - This took all of 5 minutes to blow up. Again, I am baffled at other reviews saying it takes too long to blow up... Seriously folks you cannot handle a few air holes, there was 6 I think... *facepalm* - It is HUGE! So much area for kids to play in. I was surprised at how big it actually was after inflating it. - The toys that come with it are great! My daughter absolutely loves the turtle. Look out though there are more things to put air in, the other reviewers would be ripping their hair out at this fact! - The little sprinklers that surround it that shoot up water really surprised me. Obviously your water pressure will differ and may make them less powerful but mine were shooting 6-7 feet in the air!! - The slide works great if you have the sprinklers on because they keep it wet. Everyone else saying the slide sucks need to think about physics. Skin + an inflatable slide = stop. You will not slide down this material dry, for obvious reasons. But if you and/or the slide are wet, it works great. I don't know what else to say so I will stop there. Loving this product and my daughter and her friends love splashing around in it when it gets hot out. It is an absolute steal at 30 bucks for something this nice!! ... show more

  • Fun but with flaws
Size: 1 Pack
I've had this product about a year, and have inflated/deflated the product about 20-25 times. My kids (currently 3.5 and 1.5) really enjoyed this kiddie pool, and seems like it was just about the right size for them to enjoy at their ages. The extra inflatables were a nice touch making this a pretty good value at the purchase price of about $40. I timed the set up from deflated to kids splashing, and it's about 30 minutes after some practice. You absolutely need a pump to inflate this product. I went with the Intex 6C pump (which uses 6 C-cell batteries) which is good for about 10 inflations before the batteries die. When using this pump, it's not obvious how it will fit into the valves, since the fit is very tight around the pump openings. However, it works totally fine with a little bit of force. I usually use my mouth to push in a little bit extra air to make the inflation a bit firmer (see below). As soon as you remove the pump, the product quickly loses air, so you have a split second to close the valve by hand. One thing that is NOT mentioned in the instructions is that the main valve is a TWO STAGE value: the way it is supposed to work is that you inflate the product first with the valve completely open to inflate the product about 95% of the way. Then you insert the first part of the valve and continue to inflate the remaining 5% - it is actually a two-way valve which wasn't obvious to me. The Intex 6C pump isn't strong enough to get the last 5%, so you will need to do this by mouth which is a bit of a workout. Unfortunately, this product has some flaws which you should be aware of prior to purchasing. I think if you're careful, this product should last a long time. Unfortunately, ours bit the dust yesterday due to the second one. The first giant flaw is that the palm tree is attached to the main air reservoir, so unless you get the full 100% inflation of this reservoir (see above), the tree will droop into the wading pool and interfere with play. After the plastic stretches out a bit after filling, even if you thought you filled up the air to 100% you might need to blow in a few more puffs for it to stay standing up. Aside from it interfering with play, if the palm tree is damaged during play, it will break the whole pool since it is attached to the outermost ring. I'm not clear why Intex designed it this way. The second flaw are the water jets. This pool CANNOT handle much water pressure from a garden hose. To get around this, the manufacturer included an intentionally leaky hose connector which prevents too much pressure buildup. This will create a puddle next to the pool which I didn't like. Thinking I was smart, I sealed up the connector to prevent leaks. However, one twist of the garden hose and the sprinkler portion instantly burst INTO the main air reservoir, causing water to go into the main section of the pool interior which is NOT patchable. So sadly this one ended up in the bin. I'm contemplating getting a replacement since my kids love it so much, but I'd recommend not using the water spray attachment at all due to this flaw in design. ... show more
