  • Yoga 730 replacement
My Lenovo Yoga 730 WIFI was always disconnecting. After almost two years of putting up with it I read a lot of forums saying the problem was the Realtek Adapter. Got this one, installed it pretty easily - and never had a single issue since.

  • Great replacement for Killer 1535 in Dell XPS13 9360
I made the mistake of thinking I could upgrade my Dell XPS13 9360 to WiFi6 by installing an Intel AX201 card. What I didn't realize at the time was that that card required the laptop's chipset to support CNVI2, which is not supported by the 7th Gen Intel Core processor in the 9360. In the process, I damaged the connectors on both the previous card and the laptop's antenna. Replacement antenna installed (thank you, Dell, for your excellent service manuals!), I did more research and realized that I had to go back to the 8265 for it to work. This card works fine, and I appreciated (but did not need) that it included a small bracket and screw for the M.2 mount. I do not recommend replacing these M.2 WiFi cards unless you absolutely have to, because the antenna connectors are so easily damaged. At least I managed to get them back on this time without bending them again. ... show more

  • Blazing Fast Internet
I almost threw out my laptop because of slow internet speeds. Then I replaced my wifi card with this one, and the performance is amazing.

  • Good card, but the drivers for Win8.1.
it worked, but finding the drivers for the Windows 8.1 was nightmare. Installing Drivers from Intel didn't work. Tried extracting from it, but couldn't find any in it. Finally found drivers from the Lenovo.

  • Way better than eating up a PCI slot
Does its job well. Definitely not the bottleneck in my connection to the internet. Fit perfectly in the WiFi M.2 slot on my ASRock X370 Gaming X Desktop motherboard (Mobo bought on NewEgg, specific model not on Amazon, but very similar to ASRock X370 GAMING K4 FATAL1TY Socket AM4/AMD X370/DDR4/A&GbE/ATX Motherboard ). Connected it to the antenna leads on the PORJET: New 2 x 6dBi RP-SMA Dual Band 2.4GHz 5GHz + 2 x 35cm M.2(NGFF)Cable Antenna Mod Kit No Soldering use for NGFF Wireless Cards & M.2(NGFF) 3G/4G Cards and away I went. Pro-tip, it's best to attach the antenna leads to the card before you insert the card into the slot. Took a bit of fiddling and gingerly snapping them on (I took the reviews complaining of smushed sockets seriously). Once they are snapped on they hold pretty well, just make sure to map out the path you want the antenna wires to take BEFORE you attach them. So my recommended order of assembly is: - Attach outer antenna ports to the designated supports on the motherboard (using pliers to securely tighten the nuts) - Run antenna wires around things to eat up an appropriate amount of length (I ran mine around the watercooler block since the M.2 slot was rather close to the back panel so I had plenty of line to eat up) - Attach leads to the card - Insert card into motherboard and screw down with the M.2 screw - Screw on outer antennas to the ports now on the outside of the case Note: Make sure your mobo uses this M.2 format as this format is most often used in laptops. Yes I put it in a desktop; yes I made dang sure it would go there before I bought it Also, from what I could figure out, the 8265 model makes a difference compared to 8260 etc. This model supports 802.11ac and bluetooth 4.2. This was one of the most obscure and technical pieces I dug into for my build. DEFINITELY worth going this route rather than using up a PCI slot for a WiFi adapter. Plus this inserts into the south bridge at a higher level than the PCI bus, giving a measurable, but negligible, boost in speed. ... show more

  • Fixed my WiFi problems with my Lenovo!
Fixed my WiFi problems with my Lenovo Ideapad 530S! Found a Google hit on Lenovo headaches with intermittent problem with WiFi connections - this particular WiFi card was recommended. There is also Google search hits that talk about whitelist problems and possible BIOS compatibility. I had NONE of those! Pop open the bottom. Remove old WiFi card. Install this new WiFi card. Redo any WiFi and Bluetooth connections - that's it; no messing with BIOS, no weird Windows pop-up error messages. The computer didn't even know there was new hardware installed - zero problems with drivers. Your only hint is that all your old WiFi and Bluetooth connections are all reset and gone. Be careful with the antenna wire connections as they pull straight up from the board - these wires are very thin. Longest part was finding a T4 Torx driver to remove all the screws on the bottom panel; lucky I had a set that I used on taking apart cell phones. For ~$30 to fix my WiFi headaches is a great value! ... show more

  • Works Great in an XPS-12 9Q33
I have an old XPS-12 9Q33. It has the first version of this WIFI module installed and it started hanging every few minutes. Took a chance and luckily this newer version works fine. Be very careful though. The antenna ports are REVERSED. Its easy to reverse the small cables. You have to look carefully at the board to see the marking has switched between the ports! Its working great so far. Hopefully it will hold up until I get a new laptop. ... show more
