I was really happy with these lamps. They turned out exactly as described, and the size is absolutely perfect for bedside tables or end tables. They also were soooo easy to put together! I had both of them put together in under 10 minutes with absolutely no issues. The black shade is just dark enough that it let's out a soft light that works really well to read with while in bed (which is what I us it for!) It also makes it nice to have a softer light on as you're winding down at night. Overall, I'm definitely happy with this purchase. I feel like I got a good deal with regards to price, so I would definitely recommend it. ... show more

    • Cheap but effective - as long as you get the right pieces

The lamps require a quick and easy assembly process, but as part of that you have to wrap the fabric part of the lampshade around a frame. In my first box, one of the lampshade pieces was about an inch too short to wrap all the way around. Amazon was helpful in getting a replacement sent out. In the replacement box, both of the pieces were a bit too long, but that is easier to deal with. I ended up using a combination of pieces from the first set and the replacement set to get two lamps put together. I’m just about to print the return shipping label to send back the box containing the pieces I didn’t use. Once assembled, the lamps are nice-looking and operate as expected, so all’s well that ends well. There was a little more hassle along the way than expected, but hey, they’re cheap. ... show more

These lamps were exactly as described. They are cute little lamps that fit perfectly on my narrow bedside tables. I had no problem assembling the shades, the small hooks that go over th wire frame seem sturdy enough and the velcro made it that much simpler. The only thing I wasn't completely satisfied with is that you can see each tiny clamp around the shades frame when the lamps are on after dark, but even that is barely noticeable. Gave these to my son for his guest bedroom that lacked bed side lamps during a recent visit. These are a quality item at a modest price. I like the fact that you can charge your phone right next to the bed on both sides. Very convenient for guests. These look great in my guest bedrooms. They are very easy to put together, everything essentially snaps together, even the lamp shades. The outlets built in to the sides let you charge your devices and keep them within reach.
