  • Works very well
This device works very well for my purpose of controlling a dessicant dehumidifier. I use this dehumidifier in a large "box" I built to dry the soundboards for the harps I make. Previous to purchasing this controller I used a humidity/temperature controller that one would attach to a wall in your home or office. This previous controller was awful at gauging the relative humidity in the box or a small room. It required that I constantly keep checking its measured RH to that of a separate, small humidity/temperature measuring device that seems to work very well and can be checked and adjusted fairly easily. This new humidity controller is designed very smartly and its measurements of RH seem to correspond very closely with the small measuring device, unlike the previous controller I used. Also very nice is the fact that I can now have this controller OUTSIDE of the box with the soundboard and dessicant dehumidifier. It has a short cable with an AC receptacle that the dehumidifier can be plugged into, but the actual humidity measuring device is attached to the controller via a fairly long cable. I have the humidity measuring device inside the box, and the AC cord for the dessicant dehumidifier comes out of the box to be plugged into the short cable off of this humidity controller. So I can easily check the RH inside the box without having to open up the box (and thereby raise the RH level). And you can adjust the controller to automatically turn on when the RH reaches 1% to 5% above the desired RH level set on the controller. The only thing I do not like about this device is the god AWFUL english instructions! Can the people at the company in China who make this controller please hire someone who can write clear understandable english, PLEASE!! You will eventually make sense of their nearly non-sensical instructions, but it does take awhile. Just so you know, their "differential" RH level means how far above the target RH the actual RH will get before the device turns on. You can set this differential RH level for 1% to 5% over the target RH level. ... show more

  • Great and inexpensive product
I had a much more expensive unit go out on me and found the Inkbird on Amazon. Its still going strong even in a very humid environment. The price is way way better too.

  • Works great
This works except how we needed it to! We used it for reptiles, to control the humidity in their environment.

  • This is a nice product.
I had to pull up YouTube to figure out how to use it, but that's on me. Once I figured it out, I like it and it's easy to use.

  • Great produce, great price, great customer support!!
My wife runs 3 egg hatchers and our Inkbird controller makes environmental control for these a breeze. This unit is very easy to program, very accurate and dependable. The alarm system that notifies us when the humidity is outside our set parameters relieves from having to check the hatchers multiple times a day. We use a baby monitor placed near the controller with the receiver in the house, works great to notify us of any issues. After nearly a year of use, one of our controllers stopped functioning. I contacted Inkbird, they responded quickly and sent us a replacement within a couple of days. THANK YOU INKBIRD!! ... show more

  • not the best....
ive had six of these inkbird units that have all given me headaches. I made excuses foor them and tried to truck on. I was new when I started growing, I didnt have the tent set up right, not enough circulation, poor placement, etc.. Well I'm better now and I got frustrated when my calibrations would drift every other day. My OG ones were 4 years old and I thoought maybe it was time to spend some money and get new controllers. Bad choice! My New IHC has been in service for 2 days now. I tried using english on it, think billiards. Set the CF to zero and adjust the setting based on what its actually doing. So, 5 degrees off and if its humidifying to 65 when set to 60, then set it to 55. Nope, changing the humidity its set to changes what its reading. Super frustrating and difficult. round two, callibrate it to a lab hygrometer. Also a no goIt's off -2%, calibrate it +2 to change that and now its -5 degrees off. again frustrating and requires way more time than I have. After watching humidify cycles for an hour and a half and I feel like its dialed in, I walk away. 20 minutes later the alarm high is going off. I go to check and the humidity is way below my threshold. Check my digital hygrometer with plotting and see the humidity dropped a while ago and never went high. I loooked it up online hoping to find a fix and found tons of complaints about defective inkbird products in the brewing forums. Temp controllers are known to get stuck on cold and freeze out brews, gardenig forums the ac stayed on and froze up... all while being way below the threshold that should have triggered heat. From personal experience I was ready to give up on the brand, but seeing all the other problems others were having made up my mind. Don't take my word, do your own research. If youre trying to make quality beer or grow quality herb I wouldnt let one of these turn all your effort into an exercise in futility. a quick google search took me to another product that was highly recommended. It cost the same as buying an inkberd temp and humidity controller, wifi enabled , vpd programable, and has 4 outlets that are programable for any acessory and has temp, humidity, and light sensors. Its available here on amazon and you'll be much happier. I cant list the name and maybe im being backwards, but I'd call it awin! ... show more
