We got this because it’s soft and she can use it for a few minutes at a time to help build the muscle control. I love this pillow because it can also be used for tummy time! It has been an excellent addition to our baby’s development routine. My baby enjoys tummy time, sitting practice, and playing with the toys on the sides. It's very comfortable and safe for my baby. Spit-ups happen, but cleaning the support is easy with a quick wipe-down, and the fabric stays in good shape even after repeated cleanings. I even threw that into the washer, and it still was alive :). In theory I love this chair. I have a bigger baby apparently and it didn’t support her in the ways that she needed. It’s a very tiny chair. For context, I bought this for my 15 pound three month old and it was way too tight for her to sit in comfortably and securely.
