Frequently asked questions

The Graco Benton 5-in-1 Convertible Crib can be configured in five different ways: as a traditional baby crib, a toddler bed, a daybed, and finally a full-size bed with or without a footboard. This versatility allows it to grow with your child from infancy into their teenage years.

The crib is designed for easy assembly, and it comes with detailed instructions. For the toddler bed and daybed conversions, no additional parts are usually required. However, for transforming it into a full-size bed, you will need to purchase a full-size bed frame and mattress separately, as they are not included with the crib.

The Graco Benton Crib is GREENGUARD Gold Certified, meaning it has been tested for over 10,000 chemicals and VOCs known to pollute indoor air. This certification ensures that the crib meets strict chemical emissions limits, providing a safer sleeping environment for your baby.

Yes, the Graco Benton 5-in-1 Convertible Crib is designed to fit any standard full-size crib mattress. This makes it convenient for parents who already own a crib mattress or want to have a wide range of options for choosing a new one.

  • Beware of chemical smell!!!
Color: White Style: Crib
Please read I know long review. As a first time mom, I bought this crib because it was advertised as GREENGUARD Gold Certified and JPMA certified. I noticed a strong smell when assembling the first day and had it aired out. A week later it still has a strong smell and I strongly suggest any parent or anyone purchasing this product to be cautious and mindful of your little one. The VOCs in this crib is overwhelming and knowing that VOCs can cause short- and long-term health problems if inhaled I made sure to continuously have it aired out and tried everything to get rid of the smell. I read other reviews about the smell but figured it wasn’t going to happen to me and my son is in need of a new crib since he has outgrown his bassinet. The box itself arrived damaged and a few minor chip issues but nothing too severe. It is somewhat easy to assemble and sturdy but do take your time when assembling as many times my husband and I had to fix our mistakes. I will be reaching out to the manufacturer to see if there’s anything they can do about the smell because unfortunately my husband and I have to wait until next paycheck to buy a new crib as the smell has been causing problems to our health and our baby. So please do everything you can to air out this crib and get rid of the smell. If smell persists return it for the health of your baby. “Some short-term effects can include irritation of the eyes, nose and/or throat, headaches, and nausea. Consistent exposure to high levels of VOCs can cause damage to the liver, kidney, and central nervous system. Many VOCs are known to cause cancer, and several more are suspected carcinogens Common symptoms associated with VOC exposure include: * Eye irritation * Nose and/or throat discomfort * Nausea * Headache * Rash or skin reaction * Dizziness * Fatigue It might be difficult to observe some of these signs in your baby, if they’re acting generally irritable or unwell, they might have been over-exposed to airborne chemicals. Long-term exposure to high VOC levels can cause damage to a baby’s liver, kidney, or central nervous system. VOCs are also known to cause cancer.” ... show more

Awesome crib. Assembly wasn’t easy, but it wasn’t rocket science either. The quality of this crib is really good and seems to be super sturdy. I love that I can always trust Graco to keep my baby safe. I would say for the money this crib is worth it because not only is it safe, it’s a good size and it’s pleasing to the eye. Very cute and reasonably priced crib. One piece was dented upon arrival but my husband had an easy time getting a replacement part with Graco.

  • Overally poor quality control but OK once assembled.
Color: Pebble Gray Style: Crib
I ordered one of these as it seemed it would work well for our granddaughter. We received it a little earlier than expected. Unfortunately one of the crib ends was broken through a center mortise and the tenon/slat was cracked. There was no way to do a satisfactory fix. No apparent damaging to the packaging to explain the damage although a blunt impact could have done the deed. OK, so I contact Graco to get a replacement for the crib-end. When Graco gets back to me they say that they are simply slapping their name onto a StorkCraft product so we need to contact Storkcraft. So I e-mail Storkcraft. After several days I've heard nothing from them at all. So we contact Amazon and with relatively little bother Amazon says to return it and they'll send another. Days after that and after the replacement is on the way I get an e-mail from Storkcraft wanting all kinds of additional information before they'd consider doing anything for us. Well, we had the replacement on the way so I ignored them. I'm happy with Amazon, not too happy with Graco, and not at all happy with Storkcraft. When the replacement arrived I started assembly. The instructions aren't all that good but I could probably have done it without the instructions so that wasn't a big issue. The issues were faults. There was a dent in one of the parts. It is a cosmetic issue which just doesn't bother me but could easily bother others. More of a problem was that the mattress support has straps which angle up and a machine screw is used to thread into an internally threaded insert which is somehow supposed to be fastened into a hole in the wood. Well, one of those inserts was not fastened into the wood. So I got some epoxy glue and glued the thing into place and after the epoxy cured I was then able to finish the assembly. No problems since that fix. The net effect is that the packaging is probably inadequate to the task of protecting the soft wood from which it is made. It may not be technically a softwood, but the wood is soft nonetheless. So broken crib-end in one crib and a sizable dent in the other. Quality control failed to ensure that the inserts were properly fastened in place - I'm not sure everyone would know that epoxy would work and how to do it without leaving a mess. Once you work through everything it is a decent enough crib so 2 stars instead of just 1 star. ... show more
