My husband attempted to assemble the bed. Usually I assemble furniture, but we had just moved and he felt like taking part in getting our son’s room together. I was thrilled he wanted to do it. About an hour into assembling the bed, he asked for help. I came in and did what he asked because he had already spent so much time on it, but before we put the railings on I realized, he had it all backwards. The sleigh was facing inwards, the railing wasn’t able to even attach to the frame and I said we needed to start over but he insisted that “no one would know it was backwards…” Yeah, so I took everything apart and was able to follow the directions easily and put it together by myself in about 45 minutes. Love this bed for my son , it was somewhat easy to assemble by myself other than a screw on the top head board piece not going in fully but it’s not support bearing so I wasn’t as worried. Do recommend having one person help hold up one end while assembly to avoid breaking. But it’s sturdy and fits a standard crib mattress . My son loves it ... show more

Easily assembled and they hold much more weight than advertised. Both myself and my wife have laid on them with our toddlers and 2yrs later they are still in great shape. Paint is holding up well also.
