An Ozone (O3) generator machine is an amazing way to get rid of smells, mold and some bacteria off ambient. It has some caveats, though, and the most important one is to learn how and when to use the machine. You should never, ever use it with animals or plants in the same environment the machine is pumping O3 into: O3 is a poisonous gas. You should avoid organic based materials to be exposed for more than necessary: O3 can degrade things such as natural leather and natural rubber. You should know how much O3 to insert into the environment: more is not exactly better. You should know the environment: it must be as dryer as possible, as the gas will bind with water molecules and reduce its efficiency. I can’t stress this enough: always check and remove everything before you turn this machine on: pets, plants, animals, children, other humans. Be a responsible cleaner. All said, back to common usages for the machine. Removing car smells: while at an open area (NOT your garage), turn on your vehicle and leave the AC on, on circulate mode and all windows closed, and leave the machine working inside your vehicle for 30 minutes. Then open all its windows and let it recycle fresh air for another same length of time (large vehicles such as SUVs and vans might need a little longer times for both cleaning and air circulation). You should let the fan on for at least 5 minutes for the fresh air to pass thru the ducts. Use a leather conditioner at upholstery if your vehicle has leather based pieces. Mold. You can use it to remove mold off basements and bathrooms (specially behind furniture/drywall/fiberglass, or under the carpet). Multiple applications might be needed, but none longer than two hours of combined O3 production and aeration. Turn off the whole house AC (as it might have ducts pulling O3 into other rooms), and place some rugs or towels to create a seal in between the treatment area and other areas where living beings could be at. And as of in vehicles, let it circulate air to move as much remaining O3 back into the environment. ... show more

    • Great solution to a year long problem!!!!
I have been renting an apartment in a not so great complex. There are extremely strong odors that I have spent hundreds of dollars trying to eliminate and clean. Between the smoke and mildew smell from a wet crawl space and other issues I was fighting a losing battle. I final decided to purchase this ozone machine. Its the best money I've spend all year. My suggestion is set up the ozone machine on a smart plug that can be controlled from your phone. I have that and some cameras set up in my apartment so I can keep an eye on things. This worked perfectly. I found that this machine was taking a lot longer than the suggested amount of time for the square footage. I think due to th high humidity in the area and the air purifier with a (heppa filter i think is what its called) was causing it to be less effective. I turned on my dehumidifier and turned of the sir purifier. Once I did this I ran the regular ceiling fans. This fixed the problem it just smells clean now. I can't believe it I probably ran it for 24 hour or more in total and controlled everything through my phone. I did this since you are not to breathe in the ozone and so I could make sure no one was coming in or out while it had been running. I just put the setting on hold instead of the timer. My square footage is also about 900sqft. I hope this helps anyone looking into this as a solution. ... show more

    • Viruses no more!
i did not purchase this like most for odors but for safety reasons. our 80 year old mother lives under the same roof as us. we are set to replace all the windows this summer. with the pandemic and considering all the workers who would be inside the house i could not risk her health, life. so after much reading found that these type devices are also used to sterilize rooms. not surprising as there are warnings everywhere about not being around it while operating, not animals either until the room has aired out some. so for that reason alone i purchased this device. it arrives well packaged so it won't jostle around during shipping. considering the electronics inside that's a good thing. it is extremely simple to use. so simple all the instructions including time to use based on sq. ft. are printed on a small 3x5" card. essentially all you need do is plug it in and turn the timer clockwise for however long you want. fyi if you turn it further than you want just unplug it and let it 'click' on down. the timer is very similar to a kitchen timer, the ones that tick tick until the bell rings when done? fyi it uses as much if not more power than a large hair dryer which is understandable considering how powerful it is. but consequently you can't plug it into just any socket. the first time i tested it was using the bathroom outlet, it ran for about 2 seconds and the breaker flipped. after using other sockets i had no issues whatsoever so just a heads up in case. the device is quieter than expected not that it matters since you aren't ever to be in the same area when it is running. as for run time it says 10 minutes for a 100 sq foot space, 55 minutes for 1000 sq ft and so on. considering i purchased this for killing a virus not odors i plan to run ours for twice as long. better safe imho with what we are all dealing with now. bonus i can also pull out an extension cord and use in our vehicles. it only takes a few minutes and not only sterilizes but they do smell better now too. but as said i purchased this not for odor control but to kill the virus. i got what i paid for and am very happy with it. i highly recommend this to anyone who may need to keep a space virus free. if you need a plumber, electrician, handyman, anyone who would need to come into your home, especially if in a high at risk group, this gives peace of mind, using after they leave. it is difficult enough to manage life with what we are all enduring at this time but this little device manages to make things easier, safer and that matters most to us. *not sure of the accuracy but i read one individual who said these cannot be ordered for those who live in the state of CA. something to check on first if you live there. ... show more

    • Excellent ozone machine much better then many more expensive machines.
As a hotel manager, we get people smoking in non-smoking rooms and this ozone machine works amazingly. We have used several more expensive machines that don't work as well as this machine. Has a digital display. I highly recommend this machine.
