  • Very good value for the price.
I am currently on Day 3 of incubation & I have not had any fluctuations in temp or humidity it stays exactly where you set it. Overall works very well, I like the added egg candler it makes this process much easier to do. This is a great value on this product. I easily fit 38 chicken eggs with a combination of bantam eggs as well as large fowl chicken eggs. I will be repurchasing so I can hatch chicks all month long for my farmstead! ... show more

  • Best feature: water pump
The best feature about this incubator is its water pump which can pump water very fast, even drain water away. But if you open the lid for long enough, moisture level will drop, and water pump will kick in, raising moisture level too much. Then the pump will try to suck (somewhat not so clean) water back into water cup. What I do is lift up the water hose, then put in about 10 minutes later. The heater does not seem to be powerful enough at nights, so we put an old towel around it. We're using it to incubator goose eggs which are much larger than chicken eggs. With the rollers, it can hold about 15 eggs, without rollers, we can put in 21 eggs direct on the floor and do manual turning three times a day. So far it looks good, but first batch of goslings are still a few weeks away. ... show more

  • Best one yet
I have recently purchased three different incubators in the past few months…this one is by far the best! It holds true to temp and humidity settings. The auto humidity control actually works! I will buy this one again.

  • More accurate the my gqf and didn’t expect it
The media could not be loaded. IF your diligent and run Humidity lower you can’t go wrong with this. If you want humidity at 45 run it at 40. Use another hygrometer or something. My incubator ran almost perfectly on temp until my eggs created there own heat and I just ran it at 99.1. I incubated 17 Sebastopol 3 quitters and on day 28 today we have 4 pips so far. These geese take about 28-33ish days to hatch. Compared to my gqf that does not have auto humidity this allowed me to sleep at night knowing I have a programmed govee and other hygrometers programmed to my phone to alert me otherwise. It ran 0.5 off then read temp the whole time. It def did it’s job. This incubator I gave 5 stars because I did not expect this. I won’t blame anything that does not hatch on this incubator knowing all of my eggs devolved to hatch date, externally pipped and are alive moving and wiggling and pipping on day 28. Smart buy if your educated and looking for a deal. This was a great calming dependable incubator that made this hatching of these rare Sebastopol great. ... show more

  • Incubator with poor hatch rate
Not worth trying to save money with this incubator. Our hatch rate was awful with this incubator, had our other reliable incubators going at the same time with great rates. The eggs didn't like to turn and kept moving to one side of the incubator. Also, didn't like the exterior pump for the water so not really easy to use. The Styrofoam packing is part of the incubator, so it was a lot bigger than my other comparable incubators. ... show more

  • Perfect incubator
This is the perfect incubator for home hatching. Easy to assemble, easy to use and very low maintenance. I've hatched 16 chickens so far using this incubator.

  • Exceeded expectations
I bought this incubator in a hurry after one of my ducks with an active nest was attacked and killed. The eggs went through very unfavorable conditions, 55 deg F when the the nest was attacked and no idea ho long the eggs were untended but probably 8+ hours. The nest was scattered and mixed with other eggs that the duck had already discarded from the nest. I'm assuming they got quite jostled in the process. I incubated 26 eggs of which only about 12 were probably from the active nest so the rest weren't going to develop anyway but I didn't want to take a chance that I might mis-identify eggs that still had a chance so I incubated them all. I honestly thought there was no chance I was going to save any of them, but this week I have 8 new ducklings wandering around (which is a couple more than we have gotten in the past with the mother duck hatching them). The incubator seemed good, especially for the price. I had no issues with the humidity control or the pump. I have a remote meat thermometer that has tested to be accurate previous and if I placed the probe at the same hight as the eggs the temperature the unit maintained seemed to be accurate (within 1 degree at least). I had a very small amount of egg creep on the rollers where is an egg worked it was out past the roller end it might not turn as it should, but it was minimal and I had the unit fully loaded. I had one very cool night where the unit seemed to have trouble holding the desired temperature so I covered it with the fitted foam it came packed in which worked great. In retrospect it is possible on that night I did not get the cover correctly aligned so that may have made it difficult to hold the temperature. I like that it had the option to run from a battery if needed which luckily I didn't have to use this time. The candler didn't seem very effective so I would suggest using a small flashlight instead. ... show more
