For whatever reason there are very few quality choices in cases for the 16." I've done a lot of research and the reality is that even the best reviewed cases for the 16" are lacking in one or more areas, so you have to somewhat lower your expectations and decide what features are most important to you. If you want something relatively lightweight, attractive while providing protection from nicks and dents—this is your case. I have tried cheaper alternatives and they all have had pieces crack off and generally did not fit well. This one fits nicely and covers better than the other options out there. I do not expect it will save my laptop if it were to fall but that's why I use a cushioned carrying case—I've dropped mine on concrete before and will not make the mistake of trusting a case alone to protect it. That said, I am prone to walking in to things while carrying this around, and this provides enough coverage and durability to avoid those small damages. The MacBook is not very efficient at cooling itself, so I don't hold that against the case, though it does not seem to heat up any more than usual. ... show more

This appears to be a good quality, well-made case. However, it is made for the previous versions of the 16 inch MacBook Pro. As you can see by the pictures with the difference in ports available to include HDMI and SD card, this case does not fit the MacBook Pro A2485

    • Love it, but some flaws for protection

The case is beautiful, but it doesn’t snap in place very well around the screen. It fits great on the bottom half of the computer, but the top it you move the case, the case will lift off the screen. Wonder how well it would hold up if dropped.

    • Nice protection for brand new Macbook Pro.

Got this for my husband. He just got a new Macbook Pro 16”, and it was plenty expensive. He had his last one for eight years, and never had a cover on it. As a result it was scratched, dented and just plain ugly. This should keep the new one looking great.

don't spend your time and money buying another one. I bought two earlier because they are cheaper and I had to return them because they came with problems and their format and didn’t fit well. however this is the best. fits very well. and is well protected

This case fits perfectly and allows the MacBook to close completely without any weird gaps! The texture is also smooth despite the dot appearance, which is nice. I would say the case is about 95% clear since it is slightly opaque - it also does not make the case super glossy or anything it is matte.

I purchased this cover for my brand new MacBook Pro 16”. This cover doesn’t even come close to fitting. Holes do not match up and the lower portion is too wide. Because I was out of town for a month on business, I can’t even return it. $50.00 down the drain!
