  • Effective and easy
Color: black
Other reviews stated that it can take a long time to heat up water, so the first time I used it I put it in a 5 gallon bucket of tap-cold (~50 F) water and set a timer for 45 minutes. When I came back it was over 155 F! So I am pleasantly surprised at how fast it heats up 5 gallons. The small thermometer it comes with doesn't have an on/off button so it's just always on, but it is accurate! (Tested with an instant-read thermometer) I'm also pleased with the safety - I was worried that it would be tricky to handle once the water was done heating but the outer metal piece doesn't get as hot as I thought it would. ... show more

  • Doesn't burn skin
Color: black
The media could not be loaded. While the heater itself can get really hot, the water isn't so scalding hot that it burns our skin. I bought this for the just in case and glad I did because we ended up having to use this at our cabin due to our water heater going out. While we had water, it was freezing cold. With this thing, all I had to do was run the water and submerge it. Once the water was nice and warm, we were able to take baths in warm water. While we do have somewhat hard water, this came with a steel brush that I am able to clean this warmer after it's dry and cooled off. Even though I have to plug it in and then submerge it in water, it will not electrocute us as the inside is fully protected. However, the way we do it is submerge, wait for the water to get warm, unplug, pull it out and then get in the water. Great for winter time and really does get and help keep water warm when need to. ... show more

  • Funnier than Dave Chapelle
Color: black
When I opened the box and the paper read "Must Specification For Use" I knew I had struck product gold. I excitedly extracted it from the plastic bag that only covered 2/3 of the product making the bag entirely pointless. I had prefilled my tub knowing that this giant dildo shaped delight would arrive. The temperature gauge let me know my tub was precisely room temperature...72 degrees. I plugged in the Big Black Cord and watched it bubble a moment. This was humanities triumph over lukewarm water. I just knew it was. Granted, there are about three hundred and fifty two warnings but to be in the bathtub with it, but I was having a hard time holding off as I watched that temperature gauge skrocket over the course of an hour from a loss than impressive 72 to a sweltering lava like 74 degrees!!! In only an hour!!! I swear I was about to spew my magma, but I wasn't going to steal the job of this warrior. I unplugged it and my wife scurried in giggling quietly as she stole my precious and locked the door. Out came the KY and what ensued ensured us of a contentious divorce. I'm not willing to live with 72 degree water now that I've felt 74. Yes my skin is covered in leathery burns, but I don't care. She is suggesting shared custody. Like I'm some sort of fool. She'll follow the instructions where it tells your to "Avoid forgetting to catch fire". That's my job! Needless to say, just don't. You'll regret it in a profoundly soul impacting way. ... show more

  • Essential for van life
Color: black
I bought this for my sister who is taking a gap year so she can travel a bit. Apparently living in your van is doable if you have the right tools. This is a fun little gadget and definitely a must have item. She can use it to heat water for tea, a shower, bathing the dog, filling up her hot water bottle, etc. It's important to remember to fully immerse it in the water before you plug it in. Otherwise it is very simple to use. It's very easy to store because it is so small. Once you roll up the cord, it fits into your bag or a junk drawer. ... show more

  • Life Changer
Color: black
So happy with the first one I bought, I bought another. One will heat up a sink to do the dishes in 25 mins, two of them will heat up a tub in 100 mins. We have a generator at our cabin but no water heater, now when we escape to our cabin in the woods we can have a nice hot bath.

  • Heats water in my camper in winter trips
Color: black
I use these to heat water in my camper on trips in the winter when I can’t use the water heater. My generator supplies power to my camper and this is how I heat water. I have a thermometer in a 6 gallon pot and set the temperature so I can shower with a specific heat setting. If you have to heat water to a set control or boil it, this is your product. The plug gets a bit hot but I am not concerned to the point of fire. It not does trip my control board. I generally get water from 58 degrees to 115 degrees in 20 minutes. ... show more
