So i had the whole red light of doom thing happen. I did the let it die, recharge it thing, which made it turn back on but from there it was blinking red and blue and not connecting to my phone. Called ihome support and this is what we did to get it working. 1. press +- at same time till it beeps 2. turn it off and on again 3. press phone blue tooth button for a few seconds At this point it still wasnt connecting to my phone, so i went into my phone and forgot the device in my bluetooth settings, repeated steps one through three, still wasnt showing up so I turned the bluetooth in my phone on and off again, it showed up and connected, back to working perfectly. Just thought someone might want to see this if they run into the same problem, save you a phone call to support. Over all I do love this speaker, good sound love the colors. ... show more

I was very impressed by the sound that came out of this little speaker, which is no bigger than a Coke can. Just like a lot of the other reviews the battery life doesn't last the full 10 hours like advertised. I suppose if you turn off the light display you could make it last longer but where's the fun in that. The light displays come in a variety of styles ranging from a slow changing pulse to just one color at a time. One con I encountered with my unit was that it appeared that there were scratches on the the inside of the clear casing. Unfortunately, Amazon doesn't do a return and replace on this and when I returned it, the price had gone back up. So, like any good online shopper I went somewhere else to repurchase it. **Update** Seems like they all have slight scratches on the inside,. Overall, I am very pleased with this. Purchased in April 2021 for use in my home gym. Used 4-5 times per week for no more than 1-2 hours at a time and the battery is drained. Will hold a charge for less than 20 minutes. I absolutely love this product. I was looking for a small transportable speaker with clear sound to use to play music while doing renovations in my house. The sound from this device is amazing for the price. It fills each room that I worked in nicely! I saw that some people used this speaker in their cars and claimed it was better than their factory speakers. I would have to disagree. I have a 2000 Nissan Maxima and the speaker quality was easily diminished by the standard noises of operating a vehicle. The look of the speaker is not something I would normally go for, but for some reason I am so drawn to the style. It is bigger than a can of soda, but not by much. I almost never turn on the light function, but its kind of fun to show people the color display capability. One of my coworkers had this speaker and I just had to get one for myself. The sound quality is excellent. The battery life is very good if you are not using the light. If you are using the light I suggest that you leave it plugged in. I am currently bringing this back and forth with me to work every day. It is small enough to fit in my purse without being a huge pain but large enough to be a wonderful speaker. It is great for both quietly playing music at my desk and for loudly blasting music in the kitchen so that I can sing into the spatula while I am cooking. I can put it on the kitchen counter and play music that can be heard both in the kitchen and family room when we are entertaining guests. I bought this thing refurbished for $20 about 18 months ago and it might've been the best $20 I've ever spent. I take it everywhere. I listen to it while I'm getting ready for work, while I'm in the shower, while I'm cleaning, while I'm cooking.. I've listened to it in the car when I hit a pothole at 80mph and killed my stereo. I've taken it on camping trips, fishing trips, and hiking trips. It's small, light, and portable, but 'tis mighty. It flawlessly and automatically connects to my phone every single time. The battery lasts plenty of time. The sound is loud and clear. This is one of my favorite items that I own.
