The media could not be loaded. I love that it's small enough to fit on a counter-top with room to spare. It makes ice quickly. Easy to clean, super easy to use. The sound level is medium... a 3 on a scale of 1-5 (5 being the loudest). Doesn't bother me at all, it just blends with any background noise, really. The only disappointing thing I can think of is that it makes small and very small ice "cubes"... would like slightly larger... but then it would take longer to freeze. The smaller cubes melt quickly. Maybe it could freeze them a little harder? They stick together when putting them in an ice bucket in the freezer, so you'll need an ice pick to gently break them apart. It was great from the start. Our Samsung fridge ice maker always freezes so I bought this instead of going to the store every other day because I like my ice in my cocktails full. It was great up until 3 weeks ago and then it didn't work properly. I tried to take it apart but you need an Aerospace engineering degree. I'm sure it's a clogged hose or something simple. After putting the screws back in it worked for 2 drop sessions then it was done. So to be fair, we used this machine all day and late into the night EVERY DAY for almost a year and it was amazing. Never let us down. So paying 100$ and it lasting almost a year VS 2$ a bag and going to the store every other day or asking friends to stop on their way was definitely worth every cent. If I can't get it fixed I'll buy it again! ... show more

Chose this one over many others because 1. It is Igloo brand, a name I recognized and 2. It looks better, at least for our decor. I would not recommend the black stainless steel, which was sent to me in error (the correct one, pictured, came very quickly). The black stainless steel one picked up finger marks that were really hard to wipe off. We have the infamous Samsung fridge where the ice maker gets more and more frustrating until it dies completely. I believe there’s a class action suit on that fridge. Meanwhile a countertop ice maker is cheaper than a new fridge and less labor intensive and messy than ice trays. There’s only so much these machines can do because they are not refrigerators, so you need to be there when it’s running and use or freeze the ice it makes. It’s not quiet but it’s not crazy loud either. We’ve only had it about a month, if something goes wrong I’ll update this review. But so far so good. ... show more

    • Makes a lot of ice
Makes a lot of ice, very quickly. Great for when we have people over as the ice machine in our refrigerator can't begin to keep up. This makes ice 4 - 5 times faster, and if you make the small cubes it's even faster. The grandkids love watching it make ice when they are over. Just make sure to pull the ice often as the holding bin is not refrigerated (most aren't unless you want to pay several hundreds more). I just pull it about every 3 cycles, put it in a gallon zip lock and toss it in the freezer. The ice will be wet, but after a few minutes pull it back out and smack it on the table to break it up and add some more or use it. Really a great summer time purchase. ... show more

Produces ice very quickly. It is very easy to clean and maintain. Especially convenient drain on the bottom to drain water. You can choose the size of the cubes as well. Large capacity Great for parties. It will not keep the cubes frozen, but it will recycle the water from melting cubes to continually make ice. Also if you have a good ice bucket you can keep it filled all of the time because it produces fresh cubes every 6 to 7 minutes. It is also an excellent value ... show more

    • Do not buy.
Purchased the ice machine to have at my home bar. The machine failed right upon opening and testing it out. Did everything that was detailed on the instructions. The first batch of ice came out very thin and flimsy easy to melt in any normal drink. Then it would not do a second batch of ice. It kept on lighting up the add more water button. The reservoir was already filled. I called customer service, I was told to empty the unit completely and drain all the water, leave the unit open and unplugged for 24 to 36 hours. I was told this would "reset" the ice machines censors. I did this. and Nope.... 36 hours later,,, same results. Just one batch of melty ice. And the unit was done. Asked if I wanted a replacement or money back. I said please send me a replacement.. 2 days later I get an email stating there is no replacements available until Sept. So I then said just please return my money. I had to then cut the cord of the unit and send 2 pics to customer service that I did that... They returned the cost of unit to me, but not the tax on it. And it took 3 weeks for the refund check to arrive. They stand behind their product for only 30 days. So make sure to test it as soon as it arrives if you do order this ice machine. Moved into a new property and discovered the ultra modern refrigerator has no ice maker. I decided to try this unit as opposed to buying ice trays and all that. This unit fits nicely on the counter and is easy to use. It makes bullet shaped cubes quickly, you can have ice for 2 glasses in less than 15 minutes. It will fill its removable tray in less than an hour. The problem is when you move the ice into the freezer, the cubes are wet, so they freeze together which means you have to break them apart later which is not an easy task. We have started pre-planning when possible, like before dinner, start it up and make the ice that we will use and not have to deal with the sticking together issue. Once they go into the freezer you literally get one giant cube that has to be broken apart. Overall, I recommend this product due to the fact that it works very well and makes ice quickly.     • Ice When You Need It
This is my first ice maker and I'm very happy with it. It's really easy to use, makes ice just when you need it, and fits under a cabinet on my countertop. The shape of the "cubes" allows me to crush the ice in a plastic bag for wonderful slushy beverages. My freezer is small so the limited space is no longer taken up by ice trays and a bin. I store extra ice in a plastic bag that can go anywhere in the freezer. Also, it's kind of fun to watch the ice being made and then swept into its bin.
