I read a lot of reviews on a lot of portable DVD players before selecting this one and, for my needs, I'm very happy with my purchase. The price is extremely reasonable compared to others. The quality overall is better than expected. I haven't had it for too long but it's definitely been in use, and I haven't had any disc skipping issues. The picture is great. The sound doesn't get as loud as I'd want it if I was using it without headphones, however, I'm always using it with headphones so I didn't factor that in my rating. The volume with headphones is great. I've used it in the car via the headrest mount (sold separately) and it worked great and was easy to attach. I've had no problem with the battery holding a charge. I'm pleased with this product. If you know what you expect out of a portable dvd player going in, this one does what it says and is holding up. Good universal portable DVD player with additional media capabilities. Features are nice, but I wish it had a couple of changes. The picture quality is alright, not fantastic but it gets the job done. I also wish it could read more media types off the SD card, and that the card would install flush instead of sticking out a bit, but all in all, good player to keep a kiddo entertained and busy. This is a fabulous DVD player if you have old dvd’s that you need to play. I know people have mentioned the sound quality is low, and it is, but I am not using it to watch movies like many people. I can see how it wouldn’t be sufficient for movie soundtracks, but I use it for watching educational DVD’s that are mostly classroom video recordings or lectures, so for me, it is absolutely perfect. Received the player last week. `Have used it for several hours so far. Very impressed with it so far! They recommend charging it mto full before using it. And I did. Watched 4+ hoirs the first time and it did great. As with most small screens, you will have to set it to an angle that looks best to you, but the picture is excellent. And available settings for the screen are more than you'll probably use. The main thing I wanted to know was the sound quality & VOLUME!! Both are excellent! With the volume at about half it is quite loud enough to sit halfway back in a van parked and hear it with ease. Full volume is almost too loud! The build of the unit looks and feels very good. The last memory function is great also. The remote is quite small. So if your fingers are like mine, you'll have to get used to the little buttons, but it works flawlessly also. I highly recommend the item with my experience so far. And if you do the online registration, a 2 year warranty is quickly responded to which makes me very happy with them! ... show more

We received this dvd blue player, next day we plugged it in, the led charging light never came on, we left it charging for the full eight hours, as the manual stated to do, the player played our dvd for about 20 minutes then it died and never came back on. we tried charging again no led lights again, gave it the 8 hours charge and turn it on again this time nothing happened. we contacted amazon got great help and returned the player, and received a replacement in a day. the new player, we are still evaluating it's performance. this was a dual (2) player order. the purple player worked great didn't have any issues with it , glad we ordered just keep in mind read the product reviews and remember you get what you pay for, some good others have issues. the sellers on this product were great with replacing the one with the issues.
