I was looking for something other than clear or white. This fit my bathroom colors, so I bought it. It does have a little odor to it, but nothing that totally knocks you over. The hot shower subsides the smell while you're taking a shower. Not sure why there has to be a smell of any kind, but it does have one. I do find that the mat moves a little, so one would want to be careful. I have 3 in my walk-in shower (wish they made one large one) to cover the entire area. I also cut out some of the "pebbles" to compensate for the drain hole. All in all this does the job it was intended for. I just take them out and clean them every once in a while....and the shower floor under it because having the mats down does tend to trap soap film and cause a little mold to build up. But nothing that a regular cleaning doesn't take care of. If they'd make one big one, I'd be a happy camper (like 28 x 48). ... show more
