Almost perfect for my vinyl sliding glass door. Fairly simple to install once you have read through instructions. It does have a little bit of gap in my slider track, between 1/8”-1/4” but not terrible. You can install your lock and catch on this door with a little trial and error. Our lock mechanism is not like any of the of the locks shown in the directions but we were able to install it with a couple of spacers in between the lock catch and the panel trim/seal extension on dog door. Do this before installing the door seal extrusions! Also be sure to clean out entire length of track and clean all glass inside and out on sliding door and stationary side before you install dog door panel! I was so excited to get the door installed that forgot to clean the glass. It was difficult to clean in between the 15” overlap of the sliding and stationary panels after the dog panel is installed. Overall excellent, sturdy, secure product without having to use a bar or dowel in the track to secure. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. We have the extra large dog door. This is honestly the best dog door on the market that doesn’t ruin any structural features of your home. This is easy to use and very well made. Install took about an hour and a half. The dogs are super excited about their new found freedom to go in and out as they please 😃 The downside is that there is not much room to walk in and out. If you are a larger person then you may have difficulty with this door. I was hoping it would be easier to take the door out like when we have guests over but it’s not as simple as I thought. That’s probably a good thing for safety reasons. This door is very secure. Its not terribly difficult to unscrew the screws inside the door and pop the door out. Like it would probably take about 5 minutes to remove if you were to have a party. ... show more

Easy to install. Looks nice! Blends perfectly with vinyl doors, unlike other brands. Only issue, we bought ours used and the previous buyers precut the weather stripping so doesn't go all the way up. But once we find a replacement will be 100%

Amazing quality and very detailed instructions. Yes, it takes a bit to install though best weather seal compares to prior ones i have used. My patio door is tight and secure with no leakage

Awful awful awful. Do not buy an open box one of these off Amazon. Had to call the company for replacement parts and they were terrible to deal with. Installation was not easy at all, weatherproofing strips so cheap, just not worth the money, hassle and aggravation.

Very nice, well constructed door. We have three large labs of various ages and they were all using the door consistently within about 3 days. They basically had to learn to a) commit - don't start going through it and then try to back up and b) timing matters - don't get too close to the dog that went before you, or you may get hit in the head with the flap :-) Overall, really glad we got this and it has eliminated our job as "door man". I took off one star (probably only should be 1/4 - 1/2 star) for two reasons. 1) While assembling, I had a very difficult time snapping in the final trim/seal pieces. It definitely wasn't going as easy as it did in the video. I didn't want to force it for fear of breaking it. I finally decided to use a rubber mallet and very gently tapped it until I could see it was fully in place. Not a big deal, but would have just been nice if that had been stated in the manual. 2) I would like it if the door was 4 inches taller. One of our dogs is pretty long-legged and he kind of has to croach to get through it. This was the biggest size door offered on Amazon. He doesn't seem to mind, but I'm just a little concerned what might happen if he tries to go charging through it, or when he gets older. ... show more

Instructions on the product is easy to follow. Great pair with my white melgard vinyl sliding door. I'm very satisfied. A sturdy product with all accessories included. I have difficulty on the locks. My original lock can't reach the latch that comes with this product.

Just what I was looking for. Very sturdy perfect for my size dogs (95 & 75 lbs) . Definitely not good for smaller dogs. I also have two 6, lb dogs and a cat they cant use this door it's to heavy for them to push thru. A little difficult to lock slider to it but with some adjustments we got it working. ... show more
