We ordered this because our fridge ice machine went out. This one is compact and very easy to use. It came with a hook to put on the outside for the scoop that was included. The only issue is the sensor is very sensitive for "full" ice so when a small piece is in the way, it will quit making ice, even if it's not full. I like that this device has been simple to use so far, and although it may not be super quick, it is great for daily use. The only reason why I give it 4 out of 5 stars is because the ice will stick to each other when you move the ice to the freezer. This is because the ice cubes have excess water on them/seem to be transferring its water from a frozen to a liquid state while it sits in the device. ... show more

I had a different brand that failed. The bucket broke where it connected to the motor. Replacement parts were more than this ice maker. I got this and was surprised that it works better than the one I had before. It's almost identical except for the brand.

ice is very soft which is fine but the machine states it has Small & Large ice selection. Which was why I bought this one was because it has that option. I see NO difference in the sizes. other than that it either great & is fast at making more ice. Makes about a cup full each time
