This product releases any calcium buildup and descales just as well as the expensive Opal brand. It’s just as effective and is less expensive, plus you get more. I even used it for my coffee maker! I live in an area that has really hard water and I use this to regularly clean my ice maker to keep it working like new. My ice is clean and fresh tasting. Many people have said that their ice machines emit a loud screeching sound, but routinely cleaning the machine will either correct that or not let it happen in the first place!
