Was a little skeptical when I saw a couple negative reviews but that must have been operator error. I had no issues at all. Granted the head is big but I would assume the power ones are the same so a small bit of planning is needed. I had no issues. I even crimped T fittings , you just need to angle the head on a 45. Takes about 10 pumps to crimp but it is not hard. Had zero leaks after the install and even had to twist one of the fittings 90° after a crimp to get things to line up and it still did not have any leaks. So far I have only done 1/2-in copper. Even if I never use it again, it was well worth it. Fyi the fittings are expensive and I had to go to a plumbing supply place to get All the fittings I needed and I got the thicker copper tubing to be safe. ... show more

Fast delivery. Tool built solid and has a comfortable weight for those having to press many fittings. Comes with 3 jaw sizes, pipe cutter, a deburring tool and a great price. Unfortunately for me I was unable to use as the job requried work on tight pipe to wall clearence (see photo).

Bought this tool to install a new water heater and lines. After completing 13 fittings (10 bends and 3 Ts) I have nothing but good things to say. Saved much time and very easy to use. No leaks. Crimping the Ts is a little tricky, have to turn the fitting about 45* in the jaws to be able to get a clean crimp, recommend doing this with alot of clearance. ... show more

After my buddy borrowed my pro press and never returned it , I needed a quick solution for 1/2 and 3/4 copper. We had plenty of space to work around so this thing worked like a champ. If you have tight spaces this might not fare so well. But the quality is great and no leaks used it 3 times already.

I just purchased this and used it to install a hot water heater. Since this was a different type of water heater there were a lot of moving the pipes to new locations and a lot of new connections and this device made it so simple, quick and easy. I love it. I hate sweating pipes and this removed that as an issue. I did have to go back and repress one connection but no big deal, I probably didn't press hard enough the first time. This is so much a time/money saver. Two notes - the manual needs a better English proof reader as it obviously was not written by someone who knows English. Also, the manual says to replace the hydraulic oil once a year - really? Also, if you go this way for connecting pipes remember that the fittings are much more expensive that regular copper fittings - but that is not the fault of this device. I will also note to buy the fittings on-line as in store there is a huge markup. Finally, buy this, it is well made, very substantial, and gets the job done well. Buying it only cost me a few dollars more than renting it at the local HD so go and buy this. I love it! ... show more
