• as good as wireless N64 gets for now
Style: Controller
This IS a good controller. It "just" works, feels fine in the hand, has a passable analog stick, and is not wildly expensive. The Bluetooth works great and backing up saves is a godsend. For people with pets who chew wires, toddlers who trip over wires, or larger gaming spaces where the ungainly extension cables are a non-starter, this really is the best N64 wireless controller option on the market. And for that I give it 4 stars. BUT. It's not perfect. These are my thoughts after a few months of regular use: I personally like the design better than the OEM, but if there are games out there that require using the analog stick and the D-pad in real time this controller will be impossible to use. Very probable negative here for some more obscure games. The dual trigger / Z layout is actually nice once you're used to it: you can pick which index finger is your trigger finger based on the game you're playing, which is great. HOWEVER, the trigger / Z buttons stick. I play a lot of MK64 and shooters, and this flaw is easily the worst part of this controller. It's like the Z buttons are slightly oversized, or convex when they should be concave in specific places, or the tolerances don't account for humidity or something, but both Z buttons stick frequently. I will probably mod my controller at some point and shave off some plastic on the Zs to hopefully fix this. No rumble on the controller. I don't personally care about this, and if that was the price we have to pay for SD card backups for our saves, then I will happily pay that any time. In summary, I am satisfied with this controller. Do I wish it were up to the build quality of the legendary 8bitdo bluetooth N64 controller? Yes, but that controller was never made capable of connecting to an actual N64. Maybe some enterprising programmer can hack the Admiral's receiver to pair with the 8bitdo controller and finally provide us with the perfect wireless solution (and make a fortune for doing it no doubt), but it may never happen (besides, those 8bitdo controllers are wildly expensive now). For these reasons, I give it 4 stars. I wish I could give this 5 stars, but the Z button issues alone make that impossible. ... show more

 • Awesome controller. I use it with the N64 and Nintendo Switch Online.
Style: Controller
This controller is perfect for those who love the GameCube JoyStick and Hate the N64 one. I use this with nintendo switch Online Expansion pack. And I get to pair this with my N64. Awesome Controller. To Perfect not to recommend to those who still have a N64 laying Around. I highly recommend it.

 • It works well
Style: Controller
It's not perfect, but as a wireless solution for the N64 it's pretty good. Using BlueTooth is a great bonus, but there are definitely better BlueTooth controllers out there. If you're dead set on having a wireless controller, this is a fine one to use. Pros: It's wireless! I haven't found any other wireless N64 controllers, so this seems to be the only option. It's BlueTooth, so it works with anything and is generally easy to pair. Tried it with my Android phone, no issues. Tried it with my PC, it worked fine after some extra steps. No noticeable input lag. The dongle that plugs into your N64 can also read and write Memory card data for backup and restoration from an SD card (it's a bit clunky, though). I didn't test it but these could probably be used with an emulator on your PC. Cons: It's pretty uncomfortable to hold. It really doesn't fit the hands very well. Windows 10 wanted a PIN code to pair it, and none of the usual ones work (0000, 1234, etc). Instead of pairing it the usual way, you need to add it as a Personal Area Network device (by right-clicking on the BlueTooth icon in the System Tray). The layout is a bit weird and the C-buttons are odd sizes, I sometimes find myself hitting the wrong button. I have to press really hard on the A button to keep it held down, which makes racing games very tiring. There is no rumble support in the controller. You can plug the Rumble Pak into the dongle but it'll just vibrate your console. There is no Transfer Pak support, no matter what. The memory card backups use a specific hardcoded file name on the SD card, so you have to rename files constantly (through a computer) to backup or restore a certain memory card file. ... show more

A little lag like for paper Mario N64 to do the action command in the fights it's a lag but nothing serious but worth it
