I didn't want to spend hundreds on a Thule or Yakima bike carrier. This works well for my wife and my ebikes. I bought a few extra straps for more tie down,and I'm getting quicker at putting bike on and off. Bike carrier works great , solid, stable, safe and reasonably easy to assemble and use.

difficult to assemble and the instructions not very clear. As a product wise, difficult and not easy to load and unload the bike as well. Also folding and unfolding the frames is tough as you might need a blunt pointed tools to press the circular metal berrings to either fold or unfold. i tried using a key to press that everytime which makes it not user friendly ... show more

This carrier is a quality product, well built, & simple to use. Carries our bikes with no trouble, including my 80 lbs. ebike. My only complaint is that the locks can be a little bit of a pain to work given that the key is very small, but overall I am very happy I got this. I read the reviews of people who said that their bikes fell off while driving, and I can see how this could happen if you miss any step in securing the bike. You definitely have to be diligent, but if you are, I think you'll be very satisfied. ... show more

** DANGER ** MY eBIKE FELL OFF AND NOW I HAVE HUNDREDS $$ IN REPAIRS TO MY BIKE ** WHAT HAPPENED: I put the rack together, all pieces were there, and everything was good. I hooked one bike up and decide to do a test run. Not even 5 minutes went by, after a couple of bumps on the road, I see my eBike FALLING OFF in my rearview mirror!! WTF??!! When inspecting the rack, the lock pin holding the vertical bar (the one that has the hook holding the bike in a reverse U shape), that lock pin unhooked and made that vertical bar go down bringing the bike along with it. I am guessing because of the few bumps we had? Or a faulty lock pin? I was on a street and was able to immediately stopped (what if I was on a highway and the eBike would have fallen onto a car behind me??). Though short distance, the damage was done, the front derailleur of my eBike is now bent and I can no longer change gears, can only rely on the battery of the eBike. I now need to have it repaired OUT OF POCKET which will cost me hundreds $$. I thought this was a good choice based on the reviews. But do you see how many reviews are marked "Vine Customer Review of Free Product"?? These are people who received it FOR FREE, and most of them don't even have a car with a hitch to actually try it on - look at their pictures, putting it together on A FLOOR!! Not a car/truck/SUV and they don't even have an eBike hooked to it, they probably don't even have a hitch to use it on! What is the point of their review? USELESS, they didn't actually hook it up with an eBike! How can those reviews be accepted if they do not actually use the product as it is intended?? This thing is DANGEROUS, you've been warned. I repacked it and returned it right on that day. Now starts the work of having my eBike repaired. I will get a refund for the rack, but who's going to pay the repairs on my eBike now?? I will be out of pocket because I tried this piece of garbage. If you want to take a chance, go ahead, but be ready to spend more money in eBike repairs too. ... show more

    • We use the rack for 2 Ebikes, one mountain and one fat bike.

Sturdy, looks very solid and can hold a little more than 110 pounds. When driving with no bikes on it, the wheel holders tend to slide a little on the bars so i have to adjust them everytime i put the bikes on. I use a U bolt to keep it steady on the hitch. Very satisfied so far. It was difficult to find a rack that quality for less then 900$ ... show more

I absolutely LOVE this bike rack. It is extremely well made and solid. I use it for our two ebikes, which are quite heavy. The bikes do not move when on the rack and I am driving. It is easy to load the bikes onto the rack, and easy to secure them. Both the rack (to the hitch) and the hooks (that come down over the bike frame to hold the bikes on) lock, preventing theft. I had one tightening nut that didn't tighten, and Stella in Customer Service, immediately sent a replacement part. This rack is a great value for the money! ... show more
